I didn't realize just how STACKED Chicago was with picks and cap space in addition to Bedard (and now Hall)… WOW! I hope they quickly transition from the mentality of ''future'' and move into the ''let's build a young core now!'' stage. I can see them building a KILLER team with Bedard and 2 or 3 other young players in the next couple years… Congrats to the Blackhawks for putting themselves in this position. I always like it when an ''Original 6'' team finds their way back into the spotlight!
As a Bruins fan it stings to lose Hall and Foligno. Hall isn’t the MVP-player he once was but was a great piece to Boston’s success in controling the speed of the game. Foligno was a great locker room guy and I’m sure he’ll be missed. Now that said.. I’m low-key excited for Mitchell and hope he can earn his spot with the B’s. Don’t know enough about Regula so time will tell IF we sign any of them. I know we move cap for Bertuzzi and I’ll take him everyday over Hall since he has such chemistry with Zacha and Pasta but my only consern is wheter he’ll stay healthy..
Chicago could easily dish picks to fit Karlsson in the lineup, but I'm not sure what prospect or player they can throw in to sweeten the pot.
The fact that the Bruins don't pick until 92 and we could have very realistically gotten either 35 or 44 from CHI with this hurts way more than simply losing Hall and Fliggy

You were on the right idea, but i think you have the wrong goalie. The Bruins do have Brandon Bussi in Providence they are looking at but if the Bruins still need to cut salary Ullmark's value has never been higher. Also, it's worth noting that Walsh is a Massachusetts native. Sweeny seems to love Massachusetts natives like Dubas loves his Greyhounds
Hall certainly has gotten around. Edmonton, New Jersey, Arizona, Buffalo, Boston, now Chicago. I wonder what's the most teams a #1 overall draft pick has played for.
Makes a lot of sense for Boston to move on and get some cap space. Makes sense for Chicago to take this deal. But after everything the Blackhawks have done in the past few years, it's hard for me to feel good about anything they do.

Obviously the Blackhawks are controversial and it’s tough being a fan of this team after the unspeakable inaction by the previous regime.
As a Hawks fan, I’m excited for a clean slate of players, new leadership, and hopefully we can work towards becoming a model franchise. It may never happen under our ownership but things can change.
Bedard, Reichel, Korchinski, Nazar, Del Mastro, Kaiser, Greene, not bad.
A couple of things
Nick Foligno is a UFA. Chicago could always sign him, but he's definitely kot gonna make the amount of money that Boston gave him.
Taylor Hall was likely the lesser of 2 evils when it comes to trading away a guy who eats up a significant amount of money, with Ullmark being the other.
The Bruins are likely to move/buy out Mike Reilly and/or Derek Forbort, which will leave them with around $16 million in cap space, which isore than enough to sign Swayman, Frederic, and Bertuzzi, while also making a run at a guy like Elias Lindholm to fill that 1C spot, if Patrice Bergeron retires, or re-sign Bergeron to a similar deal as he took this past season. Even if they don't keep Bertuzzi, they could always use that money to sign another guy or 2 to fill in on their forward depth for at least this season, since they're slotted to have around $30 million next offseason, to make big moves with.
I feel like we know the 1st 4 picks.
