Look at us all doubting BDD

Loving the move. Especially if it’s only for a 6th. I expect there’s another piece to it though
EDIT I was wrong it’s just a 6th. Doug out here doing gods work.

Picking up Vrana, Kapanen, and now Hayes for next to nothing almost feels like the Blues have an expansion draft going on lol

  4. Great move for just a 6 rounder, and with Philly retaining half of his salary, it is a perfect trade for the Blues

Big Dick Doug doing big dick things.

there’s minimal risk and opportunity cost for this deal.

It’s disappointing we were unable to move one of our onerous d-man contracts, but there’s still time and opportunity.

    Welcome aboard Hayes.

I’ll take this deal any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

We also needed new locker room glue and Hayesy is fucking hilarious. He’s funny as fuck off the ice too.

r/flyers was convinced they were getting a first

Saad/Hayes/Kapanen works for me as a third-line. Possession monsters who will wear teams down allowing our skill players more opportunities.

Lololololololol I like the trade but the “Big Dick Doug is BACK” posts are fucking hysterical

I wish him the best of luck in St Louis. He went through a lot in Philly, and I really, really think he will benefit from a change of scenery. If he can give you 60 points a year and stay healthy, this will be a steal for the Blues. If nothing else, he is hilarious when he is mic’ed up.

It’s fine. He fills a need and the price is right. But it’s not like this team was a third-line center away from being competitive.

I’ve warmed up to Hayes. When he first came up in rumors I wasn’t excited, but after doing more research it seems like his issues in Philly were directly related to John Tortorella being their coach. And he’s not the only one (Sanheim and a couple others also seemed to be at odds with Torts).

I think the change of scenery will be good for him. At 3.6 mil he’s a very solid player that has size, can get you 50 points, and hopefully at least be adequate defensively. I’ll give him a chance as long as he puts forth effort out there.

I don’t know how the hell we get him at 50% retained for a 6th. That’s insane value as long as he doesn’t come in and forget how to skate.
