If this was last year's draft michkov goes top 3 no matter what, but with so many good alternatives, it makes no sense to take a risk with michkov when you have a Fantilli/Carlson right there.
Also miroshnishenko was a special case to terminate his contract due to his cancer.
I also don't think dodging interviews is a huge concern since 1) the team recommended he doesn't do them and 2) you know a reporter will ask about his dad, which leads me to 2b) if there is a legitimacy to the conspiracy, not answering any questions makes too much sense.

Sure hope Michkov turns out to be the real deal to justify all this drama surrounding him–especially with the KHL contract in place and the fact his services wouldn't be immediately available-I don't think he'll still be on the board at #10, but, if he was, I wonder if GM Armstrong would take a chance. At the moment, he's the Wild Card in the top 10 picks, where he gets drafted affects the rest of the draft order, interesting.
Saying Michkov is a bad person and character issue, i feel like that's all BS. No teams have met him in person yet.
Give it a few days and this rumor will all change when the teams have interview with him.

It's also possible for the NHL team to buyout the player's KHL contract. Rarely done though.
I'm still hopeful the Habs can trade up for 2nd overall pick and select Fantilli or trade up to #3 pick and select Fantilli after Ducks select Michkov at #2…😁
Michov is going to make a lot of teams look absolutely foolish talent wise one day. Especially the ones that passed on him ..If he falls out of top 3
Michkov is so overhyped. I really hope the habs don't take him. We don't want him. We have caufield and we have Farrell, we can't have any more small wingers.

There’s no way they don’t go for Fantilli that would make no sense I see sanjose grabbing Mitchkov Fantilli would be first overall any other draft year I feel like mitchkov goes 3-4 cause of the 3 year wait plus with all the tension on that side of the world it’s a huge gamble
Michkov has the most potential and raw skill of anybody in this draft not named bedard. If youre Anaheim you take him if the interview goes good and you know he wants to play for the ducks. Fantitli is a great option if the ducks have questions about michkovs commitment and feelings about joining. W/W for the ducks because theres a very slim chance either of those players become anything less then superstars in this league for a long time

Absolutley zero chance Ducks take Michkov. Fantilli will be the pick, tiny tiny chance its Leo Carlson. A small winger with no defensive game and 3 years till he comes over ain't the move. The Ducks are much closer then "just starting" the rebuild. Drysdale missed all last season, FOUR stud D men coming up next season, Fantilli or Carlson, the continued growth of Terry Zegras McTavish Lundestrom Jones plus solid vets in Henrique Strome Vatrano Fowler and good goalies in Gibson and DOstal. I'm not saying Cup run in 24 but playoffs aren't out the question already if new coach hits the ground running.

If you truly believe in "best player available" then Michkov at 2 is the only choice. No other kid (after Bedard) has nearly the ceiling of Michkov.
Hehe.. again.. gonna be interesting draft. I'm not high on Will Smith.. since I have Benson(mini Gretzky) and Leonard(Tkachuk like) higher but won't be angry leaving the draft with Will in our pockets. Who doesn't want a Huberdeau in their line up.
Gonna wait for the real interviews when it comes to Michkov once he comes over to Nashville.
Fedotov(closes person to Mishkov at this point i think) won't be around in the interviews and he can talk NHL instead of KHL.

I would like to see the habs take Ryan Leonard over Mitchkov if mitchkov is available. Too much uncertainty with this prospect high risk for an unknown possible high reward. We don't even know if he wants to come over….he could resign in khl under pressures.
The Habs depending on whether Smith is available will pick Davorsky.

I think It would be awesome if GM's released their draft lists after each draft. Would be real neat to see how other managers view the prospects.
This entire draft is way over hyped. It won't be like the second coming of Mcdavid. This guy will likely go to the Caps and they will be sorry they did draft him, that's my prediction.
