@Canucks de Vancouver

[Shah] Les Canucks avaient de l’intérêt pour Colton, mais sans 2e choix cette année ou la prochaine, VAN a été épuisé.

    RFA Ross Colton has just been traded to Colorado for a 2nd round pick.

    Friedman mentioned a few months ago Canucks were interested in Colton as 3C. Colorado acquired the 2nd rounder yesterday in another trade. Tampa is right against the cap and had basically no leverage.

    This is why it sucks that we piss away all our second rounders.

    Getting rid of our failed 3C (2nd rounder was the price to dump Dickinson) cost us getting what looks to be a very solid 3C. Sounds about right.

    Our pick wouldn’t have been high enough anyway.

    Also,probably for the best, an RFA who’s traded from a contender probably enters contract negotiations with another contender with a better attitude than if he was traded to the Canucks.

    He could have been a good fit. JT Compher is probably too expensive.

    The 37th pick for a 3C is a little too rich for me

    If he were still available when free agency opens I’d consider an offer sheet in the 2nd round pick range

    All depends on what Colton signs for really, he isn’t that much better or younger than what’s available on the UFA market, so unless he signs for cheap the I wouldn’t have traded a high second for him.

    He’s not worth a second tbh

    Glad we traded next year’s second in order to get cap compliant to ice a bottom 1/3 roster.

    Canucks treat second round picks like diseased rats
