1. Awesome interview. Really look forward to see who we draft Hoping its willander or simishev but if zach benson is there idk if you can pass up on him. Im just hoping we stay away from ASP

  2. I'll be screaming from the rooftops if Benson is available

  3. If one of the top D like Willander, Simachev, or even Reinbacher (dare to dream) are available and they pick Benson instead, I won't be that happy. He's fine, but a top 4 D is more valuable than a top 6 forward.

  4. We need a D and/or a C but if Zach Benson is there at 11, I think we need to take him.

His edgework is off the charts, he seems very difficult to check, and he's so slippery with the puck, and for someone who is considered small, he doesn’t seem to have trouble getting into high percentage shooting areas and/or finding teammates in the seam.

If only we could land another first rounder.

  5. I got this feeling the Canucks will go way off the broad and take someone else like Nate danleson or coby Barlow I will be pissed 😤 if they go down this road I say both these players have bust potential

  6. When they mentioned Ryan Leonard I couldn't help but think about the USNDT. What do folks think of the US National Development Team ? They've dropped all the best young kids onto a single team and the rest of the teams shouldn't really be able to stand a chance. And yet they finished 3rd in their Division and lost in the qualifying round for the playoffs. What's with that ? You'd think they'd win every game and be like Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga ie they win the title every season.

  7. If Benson is available they have to take him. In 2-3 years when hes ready we will be off most of these inefficient winger contracts and he will be on an ELC.

Hes too special a talent to pass on. In quite a few recent drafts he would have been in contention for first overall. Its only the ridiculous talent in the top 5 this year, and the fact he a little undersized are the onky reasons he may be available

  8. As long as the Canucks don’t reach like they did on Virtanen and Juolevi

  9. imagine the outrage if they had traded this pickaway too. I'm still fuming about the 1st and second they did trade away
PS I will be always be following the careers of the guys who eventually get picked at 19 20 and 21 because of that Hronek trade

  10. I hated the Lekkerimaki pick (time will tell, but…), and moving the 1st rounder in THIS RIDICULOUSLY TALENTED (forecast) draft (for Hronek – again, we'll see what he finally looks like in the Flying V, but…) was also a damn maddening move for me. Suffice to say, I'm NOT impressed by Allvin's moves so far, and I'm honestly scared where he might go with 11 this time around too now. I'm nervous for The Canucks.

  11. The club needs prospects, period. Sure, it would be great if they could draft a RD or C but if Benson or Michkov were to some how be available at #11, how do you not take them? Regardless, its a deep draft and the club will get a good player that will help us for years to come.

  12. If Benson is available, and we pass on him, I will go ballistic. If he isn't there, then I was Simashev. Both players would be the best player available and fill a need.
