I can see how he stylistically fits with his speed, but can’t see how this happens unless we’re somehow trading 2 of our wingers
Ah, yes, the winger version of Tyler Myers. There is a damn good reason most Devils fans are happy to see him move on, the guy is good for one egregious turnover per shift and can’t do anything with his speed except skate fast and waffle a harmless shot into the goalie’s crest.
His nickname among Devils fans is Miles « O-Zone » Wood because he’s tremendously skilled at taking terrible penalties in the offensive zone, which [directly led to him being a healthy scratch](https://twitter.com/ryannovo62/status/1649986189527588872) this season.
He’s just not worth it. Stop going after wingers Jesus christ. We have hoglander and podkolzin in the system as well as the overpaid wingers we can’t get rid of.

Benning PTSD is a real thing but I wouldn’t really lose sleep over this report. Wouldn’t be concerned either unless Wood actually signs. « Showing interest » could just be them doing their due diligence and seeing if Wood has interest/how much he’d want, but not actively pursuing him

I like Miles Wood. He’s like another Joshua project but I think he has higher upside and plays with a more of an edge.

Ignore the logjam of wingers for a second…Van does need more physicality/sandpaper on the wings.
Just because they have lots of wingers.. doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be looking to improve on the wings.
That said, I’d rather find another Dakota Joshua type.
