We can always sign someone like Killorn, Tatar or Connor brown for middle 6 (don’t @ me there aren’t many good fits in UFA) but I agree with everyone who say we need to trade for top-6 wingers now. We have two picks and a GM who is cooking hard right now, I’m optimistic that this is NOT the final roster.

If you bring back Cog’s, Nieto and Eller for close to league minimum to play on the fourth line and move Meyers up to line three I feel a lot better about things. Not « we win the cup » better…but better.
I wouldn’t mind a 4th line of Cog’s – Eller – Nieto. I feel like they would be somewhat hard to play against.

This isn’t even funny…LOL but Colton was a great fit addition. I expect more fit players like that where they lineup perfectly with our style of play. This is why RYJO was so surprising for me because I don’t know if Bednar could expect him to play the way he wants.

If we could trade Girard to Seattle for Vince Dunn I think that would be a good upgrade for us. I like Manson but he’s injury prone and hurting us on performance for his salary at this point averaging half or less the regular season games the past 4 seasons, and MacDermid unfortunately just hasn’t been NHL caliber for us. I think if we could get K’Andre Miller and Evan Bouchard for relatively cheap from free agency and that could solve our Defensive concerns.
I’m not sure about the Forwards but I don’t love Lehkonen on the 1st line I would think he’d be behind Nuke, Lehkonen hasn’t produced as well as Nuke the past 2 seasons. I think we need to buy a solid Left winger like Alex DaBrincat for 1 year to replace Landy the 1st line. Keep Nuke on 2nd line and have Lehkonen with Nuke on the 2nd line or bump LOC to 3rd and have Lehkonen with LOC.
There’s a lot of good players in Free Agency and lots of trades that can be made so we’ll have to see what trades get made as well as who we pick up in the draft.
