My two choices Reinbacher & Simashev were gone..
Needed to draft Defense. Now we play the waiting game.
Hopefully Yzerman didn't get the better Swede in Sandin Pelikka.. With a pick Vancouver should've kept in the first place!

A tad of a letdown considering we missed Davorski by one pick and passed on Benson and also considering Detroit took Sandin-Pellika with our pick from the Islanders. Not super excited about this. Not saying Willander is a bad pick though. Right shot D with size high level of competitiveness, and can skate are hard to find.

First round picks are not for wasting and experimentation, you pick the best available at that spot and if thats Benson, then do it. Remember Nedbed? Do you remember who we could of had? The Canucks will always be the clown team of the NHL.
I think the Canucks dodged a bullet with Dvorsky. He has no upside, he is what he is. He matured faster than his peers and dominated. What happens when they all catch up? Against men he's just a 3rd line centre. Sekeres is WAY off on Willander, other than Simashev there is no defenceman in this draft that combines skating and size. He's 6'2 guys, and he skates like the wind. I'm just glad Sekeres isn't a Canucks scout.
Smart teams always pick the prospect with the highest talent available, but not the Nucks🙄 It’s like they’re trying to drive fans away.

This is Juolevi 2.0. Nah not the more talented winger. Take the positional need even though they won't be here for 2 3 years. I am so disappointed we did not get Benson.

Was the right pick, too bad Canucks gm traded the other first round pick away in a short sighted move. Could've had ASP and a 2nd round pick also
