Luke Schenn needs to be signed at all costs. I’ll be sickened if he signs somewhere else on Saturday for anything less than 2.5 million.
It might be best for all parties to go into UFA. For example, perhaps ROR doesn’t get the offers he expects. Perhaps teams fill that gap with somebody else, and the number of suitors comes down. So he circles back and signs with the Leafs for the number the Leafs can afford.
But at the same time, if a team wants to be crazy and pay ROR 6M, all the power to them. Or give Schenn 3M. Etc.
If Schenn doesn’t come back, what are the chances the Leafs trade to bring back Zach Bogosian? Briesboi made it clear that he was shopping Bogo for a trade.

I don’t like our guys. Keep Acciari, Schenn, and maybe ROR. The rest can fly a kite.
Just let them go and see what their worth. None of them need to be kept at inflated prices.
If Willy wants +9 mil then you have no choice but to trade him.
