I think Keefe is a good coach. My criticisms are too much focus on offense and not enough structure on defense. I suppose having a GM who can add a true puck-moving defenseman via trade/free agency or having a farm team that focuses on the development of defensemen would help in Keefe's overall assessment. It will be interesting to see what Keefe can accomplish this year without Dubas.

Kampf earned his 2.5 during the second round. He was involved in like half our goals against the Panthers.

Poor Sheldon. I know it’s part of the business, but he must feel like if your boyfriend or girlfriend says to you, hey, I’m considering dumping you but I was unable to land your replacement, so we’re going to stay together a while longer.
Sheldon is great coach, the right mix of hockey smarts and humility. There's value in standing by your Head Coach thru thick and thin, coaches need time to improve their craft as coaches too not just players, and they need to be given that time…even here in crazy Toronto. Great decision all around

I'm very interested to see how the culture changes under Treliving and if Keefe thrives with a different mindset. Now let's ice a team and formulate a strategy that can beat any team in the playoffs, not just Tampa and/or Boston.

Shanny and Treliving really don’t want Keefe because he’s linked to Dubas, however Keefe is needed to convince both Matthews and Nylander to stay in Toronto. After July 1, Keefe is expendable.
Brad will possibly bring in an experienced associate coach to work on the PP.
