  1. No reasonable fan listens to the same group of fans that lost their minds when Yzerman picked Seider. Its the same group of armchair managers every year flapping their gums about how they know what is best, and they do it every year because we keep paying attention to them.

  2. It's only a handful of morons criticizing. They're the same kind of idiot that wanted him traded back in the early 90s.

  3. Every year the "draft experts" say Stevie reached and made terrrible picks. Yet these players have shown out as excellent players, one of them even won DRoY. Let Stevie do his job, he knows way more than you do. The Wings have a top scouting department, let them handle it. I certainly have no idea if these picks are great or terrible, but I trust the Wings do.

  4. Yzerman is doing his best with the bad hand he has been dealt with. We’re not as lucky as Blackhawks and get 1st pick, a franchise superstar. Wings has no superstar, and no real asset to trade for one.

  5. I have a great case for the Red Wings draft. The 2023 draft was a generational draft up and down the entire draft. A draft like this you'll need as many extra picks. I love what I saw with the picks. We got a goalie. And they still looked for defense while picking BA on offense along the line. Also, they drafted the #1 player the # 1 pick had a problem playing against in the minors. They also got the #1 steal in the 7th rd. Next year in the NFL is a generational draft and I will be disappointed if the Lions don't trade out of the 1st rd and pick up extra 2nds 3rds and 4ths. During a generational draft you need more players than the other teams to advance much further.

  6. Not sure what he's planning but they need forwards, elite goal scorers. Having depth on defence is good but you can only play so many. Realistically it's going to be 2 to 3 years before they're competing for a playoff spot

  7. You arm chair quarter backs need to chill! Are one of any of you a nhl GM? No! Just loud mouths! Save your two cents……

  8. Yzerman is NOT on the hot seat and nor should he be. It's a process. I trust the Yzerplan

  9. As a Devils fan, I see a lot of parallels between the position my team was in when we started the rebuild and the Red Wings. Both of our teams had amazing success in the 90's and 2000's. We both had Hall of Fame GM's in Lou Lamoriello and Ken Holland. Ken Holland ran the team into the ground at the end of his tenure similarly to what Lou Lamoriello did to our team. At the beginning of our rebuild we had no prospects, no players that we could trade and get good draft capital/prospects, tons of bad contracts, and a really good goalie in Cory Schneider who was winning too many games for us and causing us to draft low. In the McDavid and Matthews drafts we had awful rosters but we ended up picking 6th and 12th because of his play. Those picks turned into Zacha and Mcleod. Schneider ended up blowing out his hip and falling off of a cliff and that caused the team to bottom out and although I will never wish injury on a player that was probably a blessing in disguise for our franchise as we wouldn't have ended up with Hughes or Hischier. You guys have Seider and Edvinsson is coming up whereas we have Luke Hughes and Nemec coming up either this year or next year, so I think on defense both our franchises are set. The difference has probably been been our lottery luck and our ability to draft Hughes and Hischier. The Red Wings will need to find a star Center in order to compete for Cups and I don't think they quite have that in Larkin. If I were them I would hang onto my draft picks and cap space until that type of player becomes available in a trade or free agency and pounce like Vegas did with Eichel, Stone, and Pietrangelo, or just hope Stevie Y can pull a rabbit out of his hat in the draft.

There was a person who mentioned the Rangers. The Rangers are not a team you should be modeling your rebuild after. The contracts they have given out to players like Panarin, Trocheck, Goodrow, and Trouba (About $30M in cap space and they are all over 30) combined with whiffing on top 10 picks in Andersson, Kravtsov, Kakko, and Lafreniere will most likely be the reason they don't win.

  10. I wish you could annihilate Valenti!!! That guy is a total moron who knows absolutely nothing about hockey.. I just wish he would keep his half wit pie hole shut.. he looks like a buffoon

  11. Yzerman came right out and said he still feels like they're a couple years out when interviewed at the draft. Anyone who even slightly pays attention knows this WITHOUT him saying it. You're a fare-weather fan if you don't get that.

  12. I just love the hockey geniuses who think they know more than Yzerman does. LOL

It doesn't matter what Yzerman does. He drafts and develops he's not doing enough. Every trade he makes sucks.

He signs Free agents he's ruining the rebuild.

Each player he drafts isn't good or is average. "I would've picked that guy Instead." These geniuses have never even seen these guys play and they're "draft experts "

Yzerman had to clean up Holland's mess. Restock the prospects. It's not easy. 31 other teams are trying to win.

That being said the host can calm the F down. It's a game. You're acting as if your life depends on the Red Wings.

When Yzerman drafted Seider, the geniuses were asking for Holland to return. Then Seider showed he's a franchise D. These same clowns said they wanted him to be drafted. They didn't even know who the F he was.

I'm not speaking for everyone. Some fans actually do their homework on prospects. They give informed opinions.

But most Red Wings fans just shoot their mouths off and criticize everything Yzerman does.

It's so predictable. Every summer I hear this crap. Just relax and let the man do his job. 10:28

  13. Some signing is question about Yzerman such as Copp and Chariot, Hagg, getting rid of your offensive d man like Hronek was confusing and Bertuzzi.

  14. I agree with you Flannel, how come the Lions turn it around so Quickly and the wings are still spinning their wheels. buy the bums out ( abelkater and Howard ) and move on. Give it up red shirt and watch mouth.
