– « I thought they had a really good week. The Barlow pick and they made a really good trade for Dubois. »
– « I think there were a lot of people out there who were kinda saying ‘You know what, we couldn’t have made as good a deal in that situation’. They were smart. They took advantage of the Kings own cap situation and they got good players. »
– « I think the other thing to here Jeff is, the Hellebuyck thing there’s a lot of goalie movement that’s going to happen here. A lot. So the Hellebuyck thing I think that’s kinda on the backburner right now. »
– « The Scheifele thing. I have to say this I got a lot of mixed responses this week. I got some ‘they’re going to trade him’, I got some ‘there’s nothing going on’, I got some ‘they’re going to try to convince him to stay’. »
Ends by saying he wonders if the Jets approach 55/37 to see if minds have possibly changed.

Kind of concerning on the Iafallo front. I can’t imagine there is a risk he doesn’t report, but the fact that it’s been brought up twice now that he really loved LA is something to pay attention to.
Maybe that’s why Pagnotta was floating the idea of Iafallo being used in a trade down the line to acquire another piece?
Edit: **to be clear,** there isn’t a rumour that Iafallo won’t report, I’ve just seen Pagnotta say that he heard Iafallo « really loved it in LA » and floated the idea of us flipping him, and now Friedge is saying « it’s going to take some work because Iafallo really loved it in LA. »
Those two things combined are making me wonder if he’s a little upset that he was traded away from LA. I don’t want to start any rumours lmao.

I think the Iafallo thing is being overblown. Of course he loved living in LA, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to immediately hate Winnipeg, let alone not report lmao. Nobody would be happy about going from LA to Winnipeg, and he signed for 4 years with the idea of playing out his contract there, but that doesn’t mean he won’t enjoy Winnipeg once he gets here
