« Vous n’obtiendrez jamais un joueur comme Nylander si vous échangez Nylander » | Surmultipliée

Bryan Hayes, Jeff O’Neill et Jamie McLennan sont rejoints par l’analyste de TSN Hockey Mike Johnson pour discuter de la façon dont les Maple Leafs de Toronto pourraient gérer les négociations contractuelles avec William Nylander.

  1. Sabastian Aho and Connor Hellebucyk are both UFA's the same time Willy becomes one. Let Nylander play his contract out (players play their best in contract years) then decide who you'd rather have for 10M…Aho, Hellebuyck….or Nylander

  2. As usual Johnson is talking nonsense. Guys who put up ppg can be found via trades, free agency, and the top of drafts very easily. That's how the Leafs got Nylander in the first place. He's not a unicorn.

  3. Gotta dissagree with mike on this one. He uses dubois as an example that the best the jets got back was vilardi, but fails to mention dubois was traded not long ago for laine who is of equal talent

  4. It's about working with the stupid salary cap. It's for that reason that neither Nylander or Matthews should get a salary boost. It's questionable whether they deserve it….let alone the fact that it will just sink the team once again…and leave the Leafs unable to fill in the gaps necessary to do better in the post-season. There is good reason why top players are leaving their current teams…and it will only get worse as those players find places to make more money. The money being given to top players…is screwing over the players lower on the rung. That part is a no-brainer these days. Time for the salary cap to disappear, in my opinion. It's crap for everyone involved…except the owners who will keep raking in the dough….or getting welfare money from the more successful franchises.

  5. Other teams have traded their top players. It seems loyality within leafs organization is costing them

  6. Comes from great pedigree, 40G scorer, , rarely injured , no off ice drama…. Shut up & Pay him already.

  7. So just trade him for a good right d man and a good forward, 2 players in positions you need are better then a winger that does not make you a playoff team.

  8. If he's gonna cost 9m trade him and bring in 2 players that make up the points for that money, why is that so hard? Leafs can't keep sinking salary into these overpaid players and frankly Nylander is T R A S H in his own D zone.

  9. Maybe Vilardi isn't as good as Dubois at the moment. In the long run he might end up being better than Dubois. Time will tell.

  10. ..trade Nylander and Marner for players unafraid to enter into the corners…and…intentionally run into the opposition without apologisingl,…

  11. My view of Nylander is very different from 2 years ago. I believe he's the Leafs best player and Marner is a very close 2nd then Matthews. All 3 guys are over paid and they all should be making around 9 million. That said you can't low ball the guy bc of the mistake of over paying Matthews and Marner. Only solution is to trade Matthews. The guy is not clutch and plays soft around net. I like Centerman like #66 or a Stevie Y type. Matthews is a great player but he's not what the Leafs need at a price thats 12 million or more…can't dominate in playoffs like the best of the best always did. MatthewsMarner just can't play in this market under all that pressure. Nylander can and seems like the right fit . Ownership will pay Mat and Mitch bc its more money in there pocket at the end of it. Not serious about a cup run.

  12. There is no A is better than B, it depends on the role within each team. The Leafs don't have a Dubois, but they need one badly. They've got 2 Willy's and 2 more limp dicks.
