I said it during the live stream the Guys not picked probably wouldnt stay so they werent drafted. GMBA knows what Hes doing, He's proved himself to me. Though Im a Blues fan born and raised so Im biasdd. LOL Mychkov may never play in the NHL and these Guys We drafted were happy and seemed appreciative si that says volumes. We need size desperately so I like the picks, right Soderstrom looks like a bust these picks help. Also another positive none of the other teams cared about them really so they could be a surprise to everyone. Another Russian 5 would be awesome!!!
Simachev wouldnt have been there at 12. Van wanted him and I have to trust that GMBA knew something we dont. The talent these two have in unreal and if they develop they will be two of the best players in this draft. Finally these guys are HAPPY to be drafted by Arizona and we really need that enthusiasm from our players.

From armchair-GM this is horrible draft, but from real perspective, when Reinbacher whom we really wanted went off there were really narrow choice, because Dvorsky + Yager not look much better. Moore is small, Wood have skating issues, Dvorski and Yager are not creative and so on. But still, maybe two russians is too much…

as a fellow coyotes fan i’m not sure how to feel about it… both were considered reaches but its not like they’re bad players or anything, hopefully it pans out for us and it looked like they were happy to be drafted by the team so

Simachev was considered the best athlete of this years class by quite a few people. He was #5 on the Hockey Prospect's list. Danil But was #7 on Hockey Prospect's list. They basically have their top D line when they finally get an arena/permanent place to play. Michkov moved down because of attitude (most likely… Probably only wanted to play with Ovechkin and told teams he wouldn't come over. Philly took the gamble).
