One cool fact about Leonard is his strength training coach since middle school spoke the highest about him compared to anyone else. Up I think his quote was “Leonard will never stop wanting to be better. When he loses, he doesn’t shake it off, it sits with him and fuels him for the next game”. If that doesn’t show you his championship itch, I don’t know what else does. I wanted him or michkov for months and I’m glad we got him. He’ll definitely suit up in the red white and blue someday. Also, I think he is 4 inches shorter than Wilson, but only weighed 4 lbs less than Wilson did when he was drafted. He’s a OSHIE, Wilson hybrid
Cristall’s going nowhere. Great in every way but can’t skate at all. That’s why he dropped and fixing that at this point is basically mission impossible. No hate, I love the caps! That’s just reality. He’s going to struggle in the NHL.
Please stop comparing him to Willy. I Love Tom, but Leonard is wayyy more offensive than Tom Wilson ever was. Compare him to like a Tkachuk or bigger faster stronger Travis Konecny. Ryan Leonard is a complete player with high end skill not just a physical power forward.
Andrew Cristall is 100% one of the biggest steals in this years draft. Love that he fell on the caps lap, and super excited we finally have an elite player of his caliber. Caps haven’t had a young exciting player like this in yearsss.
