1. Wow! 8.5 mil for Dubois! Thank God the Leafs didn’t bother! I thought he would get 4-5 mil maximum! The NHL is getting stupid with this idiotic cap.

  2. I think Rob Blake is going all in with PLD, and what more do you want as PLD. A GM that believes in you and in a city you want to be in. I think he increases his level of play

  3. Byfield plays as a first line left winger with Kopitar and Kempe it was a really good line last year so PLD is probably going to play 2nd line center with Fiala and Arvidsson which will move Danault to 3rd line center with Trevor Moore which will be a very good defensively line so they have really good center depth.. and it sounded like PLD actually wanted to come to LA unlike Winnipeg so i doubt he'll try to force his way out

  4. Fan from Winnipeg. I think both teams won. If you beat Edmonton because of this trade are you gonna be crying over Vilardi? I think not. Chevy did well for the bad situation he was in. Let’s hope for BOTH of our teams!

  5. I’m mad we traded Vilardi for PLD 1 for 1 as a kings fan… let alone we gave PLD 8.5 for 8… let alone we parted with Iafallo Kupari and a 2nd. Blake is running this franchise like he’s Mike Milberry…

Horrible absolute waste of draft picks and prospects. Full clown mode

  6. cant wait until we see him play here in LA , hes wanted 2 b a king since he was a kid & gavrikov is a friend, u guys got solid future that will allow u to do what we have been doing the last 3 years & thats play a ton of young legs early & over the entire season iafallo had his best year so far until he got hurt & gabe will be a solid 25-possible over 30 goals but his D needs lots of work, I was surprised with kupari because he will be solid again great long term young guy but just not tough enough for us we needed EXACTLY PERFECTLY LIKE A DREAM COME TRUE TO GET PLD TO FIT OUR STRONG 4 LINE CENTERS NOW TO MATCH VEGAS & EDM, A TRUE DREAM COME TRUE FOR ME & HIMSELF. KGK!

  7. Matthews hit 60 goals in 73 games, Ovechkin 65 in 82. 2023 getting 66 goals in 239 games and 63 in 195 games you can command similar treatment LOL. This man is really gonna make money even close to players like to Hedman, Makar, Point, Mckinnon. Imagine paying this dude more than Crosby next year ahahaha

  8. PLD got to play with Kyle Connor, Nik Ehlers, etc etc, and he capped off at 63 points… Defense minded team like LA will make this interesting what happens in that department… As a jets fan, goodbye, and bring me guys who are grateful to be here, have a job in the best league in the world to them, and enjoy being an A list celeb here, as opposed to D list in LA… A guy like Buff made the absolute most of his time here, and still does… Still fishes around the area today… Hainsey in Ottawa told Demelo after he was traded here what a great place this was to raise a family, who Demelo was due to be having a baby shortly after that trade…

I hate that stupid criticism that theres nothing to do here… Maybe on the road, but living here has its perks, like living anywhere. Its a quiet city. Some will like that as opposed to thinking LA or NY or Toronto is the be all, end all…

  9. I really luv how all the talking heads keep going back to the "he requested to be traded" narrative. This is the first time in his career that he has had a say in where he will be playing hockey.

  10. As a kings fan, this trade is growing on me. Does it leave some questions/holes in our lineup? Yes, but we can still move another player to create some cap and bring up some more young guys to play in the show. PLD is a replacement for Kopitar since he has one year left on his contract. I think this move is a future/statement move putting the kings into a gamble for the future. So far from what I can see with PLD being excited about the prospect of playing here and ready to get after it he’s going to have a killer year this year no doubt.

  11. Much as I like Vilardi, there's no arguing that he has been injury prone his entire career. And in four seasons for the LA Kings, he has only had one 20+ goal season, which was last year, and he was due for a new contract expected at ~$3 mil. Iafallo was at $4 mil and is a good player, but he tops out as a 35-40 point-per-year player. PLD is a player that the Kings can expect to take over for Kopi as the top-line center when Kopi retires. Good move for both clubs.

  12. None of the players the kings gave away will be better than PLD so Kings win by signing a 25 year old

  13. Surprised at term and aav . He must be insanely good I’ve seen him play and like…6 per? maybe? surprising moreover since he’s been a locker room cancer every where he goes? Kinda shows up when he feels like it and constantly demanding a trade when he’s not treated like McDavid, constantly fighting with coaches and teammates. idk. he better be damn good that’s all I know cuz I’ve seen this guy dog it and act super arrogant towards the organization

  14. I definitely see the style in which the Kings play will really deplete Dubois’s offensive game, he doesn’t have guys that can put the puck in the net like a Kyle Connor

  15. I’m just glad that they’re getting rid of wheeler , don’t get me wrong he was great for the franchise, but recently he’s been a big cancer in the dressing room and has caused a lot of problems as of late.
