Once, Colorado was the destination for 1st round picks that didn’t live up to expectations. We can be again.

  2. HolyMeowzah

Debrincat for Laf + and salary dump come on over Laf!

  3. Lavs1985

Montreal with give you Edmondson, a 7th rounder in 2028 and half a bag of pucks.

  4. NY-Black-Dragon

Not going to happen, gtfo of here.

  5. ubcthrowaway-01

Canucks and an underperforming winger is a combo as old as time

    “I got tree-fiddy.”

    -Steve Yzerman, probably

  7. mattvn66

No idea what his value is, but I’d love to have him

  8. Juice_Wigalow

Ottawa would be a good fit. Detroit, Philly, Seattle

  9. Kapeter

Honestly, I’d love him to get a fresh start in Chicago with Bedard. The pair of them would light it up.

    Anaheim feels like a fit

  11. wouldnt mind if philly could pick him up if the price is right. they need a center and maybe torts can help him overcome whatever plateau he’s hit. I havent watched enough rangers game to see his compete level every night but most what Ive read is Laf is a bust because he hasnt put up monster points, not because he doesnt work. Torts has a knack for spotting player’s strengths and if he’s a worker Torts will play him.

nvm i thought he was a center

This was already confirmed as bullshit.

    *Montreal calling starts to play*

  15. AdamAshhh

Lmao of course they are what a sad excuse for a franchise. Can’t wait for him to do better elsewhere

  16. GrandpaMofo

Dumb. Teams need to be more patient.

  17. Mysterious_Wheel

Can’t wait for 5 years from now when Laf is a major piece on a cup winning team and the Rangers front office is scratching their heads wondering how trading for expensive guys past their prime hasn’t won them any hardware yet

  18. herraJohansson

I dont think hes worth more than bag of farts

Despite what some may feel, Laffy likely could fetch a low first round pick to a contending team with cap. A team like Seattle to me would be an ideal place for him. They have the money.

The Rangers could use that money then to try and retain Tarasenko long term. I hate giving up on youth because it’s just our MO but I feel like Laffy needs a change of scenery and Tarasenko to me kind of closes a loop of the Buchnevich deal and he’s still young enough to have jam left in his game

    Islanders for $800k 5 years

  21. DangerRanger_21

Calgary in a deal involving Hanifin?

  22. Loading_Please__Wait

Red Wings could possibly mold him to be a better asset than the Rangers did.

Welcome to the ‘flop-fecta’ club, where dreams go to retire!

get ready to learn Russian buddy

  25. Giltar

I’m a long time (‘67) Ranger fan who thinks Laffy really needs to work on improving his skating this summer. If there’s a noticeable improvement skating-wise in trading camp I’d give him time out of the gate on the first line and first power play unit, a significant look, not just a few games. Sink or swim, it’s time to find out about him.

  26. TheSensation19

NYR came out and said false.

    Makes no sense.

Lets say he is a bust. He is no good.
Then what possible valuable deal could we get?

The best possible solution is to be patient with him as he builds into his own and gains confidence.

  27. buckyhermit

I actually want to see my Ducks give him a shot and see how he does under our system.

  28. readaboutfinance

    No one. Kid can’t skate.

  29. Empire2k5

Seems like just yesterday he was supposed to be this next McDavid
