Yzerman is such a painfully overrated GM, he gets all the credit for Tampa’s success for some reason even though they didn’t win until after he left and his major moves were basically drafting in the top 3 a few times and he even screwed up one of those. Detroit is now gonna be a perpetual too good for the lottery but not good enough for the playoffs team and trying to offload all of these boat anchor contracts in a few years. Happy for Compher though lol

Guess Stevie Y didn’t learn from last year. Copp and Chiarot last year and now JT this year. Contract hell for some older players for a while now.
You know…at first, I was disappointed that he went to the Wings. Then I learned that there are a lot of Wings fans who are not happy with this deal because they feel the team overpaid. I am now looking at this differently. Even without being with the Avs, Compher is still getting it done by sticking it to our old rival by taking a chunk of their cap space. This is Compher’s final gift to us. Thank you, JT
