If I was Yamamoto and I had the chance to stay with the Oilers I think I would. If he comes roaring back with a good year, then it is win-win. The only thing that would make me reconsider is being offered a better contract elsewhere.

I would rather have Lavoie, Savoie or Bourgault. Bigger and stronger. We can find a 4th line centre out of those guys. We need to move on from Yamo, sorry to say. We need to find a strong, mean defensive D man. I think Ceci can be that guy, someone just has to give him some GRIT! And nobody talks about Niemelainen at all! What’s your take Patrick? I think he has a real edge to him, but he seems to have fallen out of favour with the team. Him and Broberg step up this year, CECI gets a mean streak and suddenly out D (Having Ekholm for a full year will be massive) looks really good this year. Also, I think Darnell needs and wants to be our offensive D man. Put him on the power play and either teach Bouchard to be a defensive player or trade him for one.
