great video, I sure hope you nailed it with Gudas, he is exactly what the Sabres need to become more intimidating..if we can get him on a 3 year deal I would love that..and lets get Reaves also upfront just for good measure lol 😎
Good video, very much agree that Adams needs to trade 1 of Bryson Jokiharju Stillman or Lybushkin. My pick would be Bryson . Also he needs to add a 2nd pair stay at home Dman to partner Owen Power to improve the D which hopefully will improve UPLs numbers.
Solid choices in Gudas Soucy and Graves. I would also look at Scott Mayfield NYI and Matthew Dumba Minn. My darkhorse pick would be 6'8" Logan Stanley from the Winnipeg Jets. He is RFA right now as hes only 25 but he will become UFA if the Jets dont offer him a contract .He was a monster when he was with Kitchener in the OHL. Very physical and wasnt affraid to block shots.
Heres an idea for a salary dump. If Adams has no interest in Mayfield then what about taking Josh Bailey from NYI as Lizard Lou in long island is looking to dump some salary so he can resign Mayfield and Varlemnov. Bailey does make 5 million for 1 more year but he could be the 14th forward and another much needed veteran voice in the dressing room.

I don’t have to watch the video to know that Gudas would be listed. I do not see the attraction and i don’t believe he would make Buffalo more “intimidating” to play. When we played Florida, did you get the sense that any of our players were afraid when gudas was on the ice? I see him and i see a pylon that our skaters flew around. Sorry, I just do not want that headhunter on the team.
I would give Bryson away for nothing
Bryson needs to be GONE.
Replacing Jokiharju has to be the summer priority. (Other than burying Bryson in the AHL). Ideally, two defensive guys needed but we'll prob be lucky to add one.
Keep Stillman, Lyubushkin, & trade Jokiharju & Bryson.
Add Gudas to play with Lyubushkin, & then get a top 4 D-man (Hanifin?) to play with Power…
with the lack of physical presence (hits)…
inability to win faceoffs…
lack of blocking shots….hold off on your playoff parade for now.
All of the above are qualities the Conference finalists ,East and West , are near the top in.
We are embarrassingly bad at them.
We will not win without it.
With Tage settling down into a 30-35 goal level we need to play better defense to balance it out.
Owen Power is not worth extending until next year if he proves himself again.
Tyler Myers…..Owen Power. Hint, hint… Myers had ONE big year and faded away.
Like Power, he is tall, soft, skillful. We dont need another.

GMKA answer to improving our defense is D.Levi. My thought GMKA & HCDG believe in Joker as a top 4 defenseman (for now) . It would be nice to move on from Bryson. And add some vinegar, size , experience. I wonder and the main question ? For me is goalies.
