That’s horrible news.
Just to clarify, since the title is a bit misleading, he was drafted after his first season at Michigan, so he went back to college for 1 season, then went pro, and put up 40 points. Not game breaking but 40 points as a 19 year old is a very strong first season if he can keep growing.
CBJ fan here – the idea of a player with KJ’s skills but slightly more physical and a better skater is scary. KJ had a great rookie year on a DREADFUL jackets team with a bad coach who didn’t use him well. I think he’ll eventually be a solid 60-70 point player in his prime.
I think you guys have a great player – excited to see how he pairs with Eklund.
