   Holland should've given Bouchard the extension after Keith retired last year. Bad decisions and management on building the future of the team. Bouchard does have the potential to be the top pair defenseman in the future, but he is not at that stage yet. I Hope Seattle thinks about what happened between Montreal and Carolina. It is a small world in NHL.

   If Bouchard walked to Seattle via an offer sheet, you gotta wonder if maybe that opens up an opportunity for an EK65 trade? You could get San Jose to retain 33%, then trade those picks you acquired by the offer sheet compensation to a team like Chicago and get them to retain 33%. It would be a little tricky, but definitely not out of the realm of possibilities.

   If Bouchard is gone then you can maybe swindle a deal for Karlsen with the extra cap space.

   When was the last offer sheet ever done??? I think it’s an unwritten rule among GMs not to do offer sheets.
