  1. For me he missed too much time and was not engaged enough when he played. He’s a talented player just needs to be more engaged and healthy and things will come to fruition for him. I wish him the best of luck!!!

  2. What Drouin did for the HABS is steal the bank , was only in Montreal because he was a French Quebecer , was only worth used hockey tape .🤷‍♂️

  3. Jonathan Drouin is proof that talent alone is not enough. If he'd had 1/4 of the heart and determination Gallagher has he'd be a elite player.🥴

  4. It's just how the cookie crumbles with Drouin, lots a potential but couldn't translate it to the NHL and I am glad he is gone for his own sake because of the press and fans criticism of him, he will be just another player lost in the crowd of not living up to his potential, wish him luck in Colorado because he is good guy after all.

  5. I hope he appreciates the fact that Colorado took a flyer on him , gives him a chance . However, its very disturbing how Québecoises can't play in Montreal when other countries players can flourish, like Caufield, Suzuki, they have the weight of the franchise on their back , Quebec players are soft , they are not built for the Habs, Habs is the Everest of hockey , the only the strong ones get to the top , the weak ones fail . All this mental health excuses are just that excuses , a crutch . I'm happy that we have Caufield, Suzuki, Slavkovsky, Mailloux, and seems Reinbacher are winners with the rest of the strong prospects we have, to many people making excuses for Drouin, I wish him all the best

  6. Drouin only played 163 games since the 2018-19 season and the games he played, he mostly sat on the bench. A change in venue may be good for him; however, I think his psychological problems will eventually get the best of him. I wish him the best.

  7. The fueled hate against him is awful. I have always felt that way. No he never played up to his potential. You can say that about so many players that played for Montreal. I think he will do better elsewhere. Regardless of who you are, if you are plagued with toxicity, that will affect you. The Montreal fans are passionate but some are prone to toxicity. Guy Lafleur experienced it, Stephane richer experienced it, even Patrick Roy experienced it, and most recently David Reinbarcher experienced it. It's the unfortunate price of playing for the Montreal Canadians. I remember an interview with Patrice brisbois who was actually hurt and upset because every time he touched the puck in a serious of games he was boo'd. He wasn't playing badly but the team was no winning and he felt he was being singled out. He didn't understand why he was being hated.

  8. For some players, the fit on a certain team just isn't there. Unfortunately for druin he did not fit in Montreal. Many examples of this in NHL. Only person to blame here is himself. Sometimes u gotta make the best out of the cards you have been dealt. Hopefully he can push himself to become part of the success Colorado is looking for.

  9. drouin was a bad trade for the canadiens and they gave up such a good player for him, i wish the whiner to continue his whining in Colorado

  10. Happy he found an other home , now we wil at least have a player that will give max effort and not be afraid of the ramps , he has talent but being inconsistent is not what this team is all about .

  11. Drouin is simply a disappointment and the trade for him was terribly one sided…HABS lost big time. I did not dislike him and he did help younger players but it is time he moved on…good podcast today Coach.

  12. Jonathan Drouin is a PP passer of the puck (that's ALL) and he'll also be remembered as one of the WORST trades in Habs history. Dude, was a complete WASTE of time here.. more of a distraction than an asset. If you actually believe JoJo is gonna light it up w/ the Avs, you're probably French .. lol

  13. Mentally he was never ready for the pressure of playing in NHL. he was treated with kids gloves all his life and did not have to do anything to pass in school as he was the hockey God. refused to report to Halifax at first, he was never as good as he thought he was himself, figured he was better then Nate and should have gone first. when TB send him back to Junior and Nate was not he grew a major attitude problem and went thru a few billets in Halifax. when TB tried to send him to AHL for conditioning he refused so you knew then Stevie Y would not keep him in TB but did he have to do the most lopsided trade in Canadiens history, we gave up who is a top rated defenseman for what Bergevin called THE NEXT GREAT FRENCH CANADIAN PLAYER. but this did not work as his mental state could not handle the pressure of playing for the greatest franchise in NHL history… sorry but to me he was a prima donna who made me cringe every time he was out on the PP, shootout or overtime.. he could not handle the tough situations… hope he does well but I see more of the same as happened in TB and Montreal..sorry

  14. I think he fits in well here in Colorado and I feel we stole him at the AAV he could build his value with a one year deal and end up like Erod and land a 3 million dollar deal next season.

  15. Bergevin screwed up his development. Trades his best defenseman prospect for a winger while he needed a centermen. Than expected the winger who is still developing to play center. What could possibly go wrong 🤔. However he also has to take responsibility due to the way he left tampa, he should have been motivated to prove them wrong . But he turned out to be injury prone potato. With questionable work ethic and consistency
