Should have taken Quinn Hughes . . .
But he was suppose to be the key piece that Ottawa definitely needed to take in any DeBrincat trade!? Ottawa fans were suppose to be excited to get this guy. LoL
Nucks should give him a shot. He was the reason we got Hughes in the first place. Lol
Canucks picked Him up Zen
dina Quinn Hughes regret not taking Detroit
He got chances, rarely ever could he finish. Turns out that there were reasons he dropped to the wings at 6. Good luck to him, hopefully, he’ll get another chance and come ready to play.
Thanks again for Hughes Detroit 😂
Imagine waving a young player with a small cap hit? Someone is going to scoop him up and give him the confidence he needs back.
After this latest draft and now free agency the Red Wings are absolutely stacked with options at every position and it is hard to cut it in that kind of situation. Many more talented players on our roster or in our farm system are going to end up elsewhere because of this, and it really isn't about the player but more about where they fit in for what we are trying to do which is build a team that can compete year after year. Steve Yzerman is doing what he thinks is best for the team and I trust him to do whatever is necessary to make it happen here in Detroit again. Trust the Yzerplan because if you are a diehard Wings fan you have seen how he has improved this team since he took over. It will only get better from this point on.
Detroit pulled a Benning
Just watched stevies press confrence, supposedly zadina asked to be put on waivers to try and get a fresh start with a new team, if he clears he will still be a wing this year if he can earn himself a spot in the lineup
Remember when Habs fans were going crazy because we didn't draft him. Maybe that's a good sign for Reinbacher 🤷
As a wings fan, the fact that we could have had Quinn Hughes instead of Zadina will haunt me for a while
i wouldnt be surprised if the habs pick him up XD they have a reputation to grab “failed” top picks
We should pick him up on a two way
No one is picking up that contract based on the lack of production.
The Yzerscam is going great.
Him getting placed on waivers means he was untradable at the draft. No one even want to throw a 7th round pick for him. Some players just doesn't work out.
It had to happen this way. The wings are evolving. Running out of bottom six roster spots
I feel like Holland actively tried to screw over this team as much as possible before he left for Edmonton. We’re still dealing with the fallout of his poor decisions
It's nice to know even the mighty Red Wings make mistakes.
I still remember the behind the scenes video of the Quinn Hughes draft. People at the Canucks’ table gave out a sigh of relief after the Detroit selection.
Zadina is one of these weird players!! Never paid attention to Him much… but haven't really been able to read in details about what exactly are the issues that prevented Him from becoming the stud he was supposed to be!! I remember Larkin giving him high praises about his scoring!!
Yzerman just said that Zadina requested trade, no team was interested, so he requested being put on waivers. He is still welcomed to join the training camp and fight for the spot on the team.
I don't think anyone will take him, but if they do I wish him the best.
Canuck fans everywhere thank Detroit for taking Zedina in the 2018 draft. Leaving us able to take Quinn Hughes with the next pick.
