works out for the Leafs tbh, Sammy wants term, Leafs don’t and Arb gives him a 1-2 year contract I believe.
This was bound to happen. Hopefully, they land on a reasonable number that can work for the team, and at least leafs have the option of 1 or 2 years

This opens up the second buyout period, which is more important than arbitration.
Sammy likely won’t make it to the meeting, he’ll be signed before then.
Iâm fairly certain he and the team agreed that heâd do this just do we get a second buyout window for Murray. Sammy will be signed long before his arbitration date.
1-2 year deal should be fine until Woll is ready to be the full time guy
