A little off topic, and I know the topic has been beaten to death in the past, but I think the last time Wings fans were in a top player acquisition rumor, was 13 years ago. That was when Zach Parise and Ryan Suter signed those 13 year X $98m deals with Minnesota in free agency. I wonder what our rebuild would have looked like, or if Yzerman would have even taken the job, if he was going to have to inherit those contracts as well?
