    – He thinks they’re looking for a cheap veteran centre.
    – He raises a good point that if Pettersson or Miller get hurt they have to worry about one of the current bottom centres playing top six minutes.
    – Same if Demko gets injured, you have to worry about who’s gonna play his minutes.

About the players he mentioned, all unsigned:
    – Suter, 27, LW/C. Made 3.25M with Detroit last season.
    – Heinen, 28, LW/RW. Made 1M with Pens last season.
    – Comtois, 24, LW. Made 2M with Ducks last season.

I think he is done. It’s better to wait 1 year for Myers and Pearson to come off the books rather than trading a winger with a draft pick to free up money.

    One Pius Suter please.

Guys, stop with your reclamation projects and guys with ‘pedigree’ BS: Comtois sucks

  4. Unit_731_Survivor

Yeah if we can get both Suter and Heinen that would be a huge addition to the bottom 6 for us

  5. Shironye

I’d love Suter and another defenceman. While also trading Garland and Myers.

A Twitter link actually works now, sweet.

If they can move garland or beavillier they can actually afford to pickup a solid center who can slot into the top 6 if Miller or Petey get injured. Or better yet, trade them to a team that is looking for wingers and can exchange their 3c

  8. Pistol-Pete7

Would like Suter, a backup and another dman

With reports of no interest in our players unless we add sweetener, doesn’t it make more sense to wait till TDL or just ride it out their contracts, specifically Myer, Beaviller and Pearson. Because if we can’t make the playoff with current roster, what are the chances of making the playoff with the assets we get back from these proposed trades?

Suter and Dumba would be great adds if we dump a winger or Myers

Makes sense. 1 injury and we’re talking about lottery odds again.

Pius Suter makes a ton of sense, because Van ideally has a centre playing between JT Miller and Blueger to start the season.

I like Nils Aman, but I consider him more of a winger than a fulltime centre at this stage in his career. That could change, but he’s currently a winger imo.

    – Petey, Miller, Suter, Blueger, Dries as your NHL C’s.
    – Then Aman/Sasson/Nielsen/Raty as your depth options.

Kind of off topic (sorry), but I really hope to see Max Sasson get a call up (or two) from Abby this coming year. He came to Abby last season and I was impressed with his play out there. He was mostly on a line with Hoglander and didn’t look out of step at all.

No to comtois, yes to Suter, Heinen is aight

  15. arazamatazguy

Allvin trying to free up cap space is not exactly breaking news….

Pass on Comtois. I’m still pissed at him for a penalty he took in the 2018 World Jrs that led to the USA tying and eventually winning that outdoor game.
