Anyway a Konecny retain ($1.5-2m) = 3.5-4m AAV for Leafs. Plus Flyers can afford a Nylander contract for the coming seasons, also they should be shopping Konecny (right?)
FA went from a dud to a big win for the Leafs. They got the two guys I wanted with low risk 1 yr deals. Great offseason so far!

they screwed up the could of got both O'Reilly and Schenn for less money and more term but they have screwed up, so when this they don't advance next year it will be a clean sweep of all management including Shannahan then they will have to rebuild again

Love what the Leafs are doing, team toughness has been missing too long, they are not going to be pushed around next season, now lets get a mean D or two…….one other point,i think these moves are a prelude to one of the core 4 leaving, we know it wont be JT, so one of the other 3 looks likely to be moved, if WN plays hardball on his negotiations he may be moved.
So what happens now?? Leafs are 8M over cap minus 5.6 LTIR (Muzzin) = 2.4M over cap. Still 2 roster spots to fill plus either trade/buyout Murray who has a cap hit of 4.6M (8M actual cash) and still need to sign Samsonov (RFA).

Andrew Piluk, you nailed it. We need A-holes on the team. Watching the a-holes on Florida run the Leafs in the last playoffs proved it. Watching with my wife, she'd yell "hey, why are the refs letting them do that?!" I'd be saying why aren't the Leafs doing it back?
