#columbusbluejackets #adamfantilli #nhl #cannons #metro #nhldraft #nhlfreeagency #offseason #icehockeyaussies

  1. Good video gents, one correction, the Jackets traded for Provorov (2nd round pick and 21st overall). Love to see the sport expanding and glad you guys get to see some games this year.

Note: Voronkov is finally coming from the KHL and will fill that depth center role (3rd potentially 2nd line).

  2. Thanks for the profile and attention from across the seas, gentlemen!

I largely agree on your points about center depth. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a move for Elias Lindholm if the Flames are unable to lock him down.

The main area I'd take you to task in is the bottom 6 takes. Bemstrom won't see the lineup, and is probably gone before the season starts. Robinson goes at the trade deadline for maximum return (probably a 2nd, or a 3rd+5-6th). Chinakhov was mentioned, but not strongly enough, and @bspangenberg3002 already mentioned Voronkov, who may end up in there somewhere.

But the real bottom 6 misses were entirely overlooking Justin Danforth, who is a lock for the 4th line and probably replaces Olivier in the current makeup (Olivier serving as depth, and slotting in against more physical teams like Minnesota), and overlooking Alexandre Texier, who is going to surprise a lot of people this season. Texier is seriously good, and Danforth is a critical piece to the team, and perhaps their most underrated player.

My dark horse trade scenario would see Laine along with some combination of Bean/Peeke, Bemstrom, and/or Roslovic dealt to Toronto in exchange for William Nylander+. I'm 50/50 on whether I'd like to see it happen.

Thanks again for showing CBJ some love! I honestly think they'll finish 3rd in the division, and my homer take is that if Elvis runs hot, they could unseat the Devils at #2.
