  2. This is an important series for the Yankees Gleyber Torres went deep on the Fourth of July. Bader putting good swings when it counts.

  3. I'm just loving the fact the the Yankees can get some runs without ##99 in the lineup. Shows that when he's back we're gonna be even stronger 💪 Great 👍 win. GO BOMBERS

  4. BRILLIANT heads-up baserunning play by Gleyber. I don't think I've ever seen a runner go first to home on a ground ball single without an error in the outfield. The outfielder automatically tosses the ball back into second, because he never has to come up and throw home on a ball like that. And once he does that, Gleyber's in easily. LOVED it!

  5. These Yankee batting averages are abysmal. Worst ever for any Yankees team.

  6. I never wish bad on anyone’s career, so I can’t help but be happy for Hicks getting a HR against us. Having said that…Go Yankees MF!

  7. I used to play first base, and the helpless feeling when you can't find the bag (though rare) is one of the worst feelings I ever experienced. (The worst ever was striking out looking on a full count with two outs in the bottom of the ninth with the bases loaded, and the tying run on third base.) I never played professionally, but those games MATTERED to me.

  8. Never seen anyone look more egotistical and still play like shit the way Aaron Hicks does

  9. I knew Hicks was gonna homer at some point this series. That’s typically how it goes when players face their old team for the first time.

  10. trial by fire for Schmidt, man. He has really learned how to pitch through struggles he shouldn't have even suffered. Still think he'd be better utilized out of the pen, but nice work on his part as a young pitcher dealing with some difficulties.

  11. The Bronx Bumblers are the best if only they could play the Baltimore Sparrows the rest of the year like every game remaining.

  12. Torres is my MVP, shows up every day to play and hustles around the bases gets on base , also hits some long balls too ! And they were thinking of trading him , unbelievable!

  13. What a monumentally important start to a four game set to a team we're four games behind to start.

  14. "And Hicks is out on strikes." I know he's playing better with the Orioles but that guy was as awful as it gets with NY. Well maybe except for Donaldson.

  15. Seems they are finally coming alive! They are smiling and having fun playing baseball. Small ball and bunts and grinding out at bats. Starters doing pretty well. Yanks may be getting HOT!
