Blueger is the best 53 already

  2. HowIsPajamaMan

Did Teddy Blueger call Bo horvat before choosing 53? If not, it’s very disrespectful of him. 😡

    /s

Blueger now wears #53 and I’ll tell ya that for free

  4. PaperMoonShine

Name a more iconic #53 Center than Teddy Bleuger.

    Go ahead, I’ll wait.

    😏

Teddy Blueger hoisting the cup wearing #53 is going to be great.

Also great knowing those who jumped on the Horvat clear out jerseys now only have to change the nameplate.

  6. LawnGnome

    53 is just genuinely funny.

28 should not have been issued.

  7. spacppl

I thought #28 was shadow retired for Bourdon like #11 is for Maki

  8. shadownet97

I thought they unofficially retired 28??

Sweet, just need a new name plate for my 53 jersey (purchased before Bo had a letter on the front, but does have the VANCOUVER water mark unfortunately.)

More like Teddy Blue Gear, am I right?

  11. arazamatazguy

    Weird.

    They all suit these numbers.

  12. Sinochick

Does Blueger think he’s gonna be gifted the pp1 bumper spot because he’s gonna wear #53? LOL

  13. superschaap81

Teddy giving ZERO fucks what people gonna think, going into his first season here. I love it.

  14. wingdingcanuck

The Vancouver Canucks have signed Shawn Thornton and Duncan Keith, they will wear #11 and #37 respectively.

  15. mudermarshmallows

    Don’t like Cole taking 28.

  16. pluralsight24

I hope Soucy spoke to Lockwood before deciding on #7

I’m sorry but is the Bo hate going a bit too far here? Over his 8 years as a Canuck I don’t know if I can think of much we didn’t like about him. He stuck with us through a seemingly endless “retool” and as the captain he had to take the brunt of the media for the whole team.
He goes on to make one comment about the atmosphere being better in a “playoff bound” Islanders building being better than in a bottoming out Canucks building and suddenly he’s public enemy number one? Admittedly it was a poorly thought out comment but it’s one slip up over the better part of a decade. Sorry for the paragraph but I had to let that out.

Cole looks like Brendan Morrison in that pic and it’s making me feel all sorts of things.

I know this is a post about numbers and I was team tank last year, but these are the type of signings this team needs whether they’re taking a step back or not.

Short, team friendly deals (if we weren’t in cap hell), on depth guys to fill out the roster. Unless the Nucks develop draft picks, they don’t need to be signing big contracts for FA wingers and defensemen. This team has lacked depth for a long time. Call me optimistic (I’m the last to do so), but I have been on the train of let Rutherford/Allvin do their thing without meddling and I think the team will be moving in the right direction.

Remember back in like 08/09 when the Canucks randomly raised #7 to the rafters with absolutely zero context at all, and then never bothered to explain why after

  21. bazziiinga

Don’t have to change my flair

  22. Hardillosourus

    Justin Bailey also wore #38

    Rip pavol demitra

  23. ovulationwizard

Number 7 is a weird one for soucy. I’ve always thought 7 was meant for a small forward. Not that it matters, just how I always thought in my head

  24. julesieee

    Horvat erasure is real 👁️👄👁️

Also, Sousy being one number below his arch-nemesis Garland is hilarious and probably intentional.
