They were very fortunate to win this game. They were awful in the first period. The first half of the second was not great either – turnovers galore. Had the Devils scored again to take a 2-0 lead they'd have been done.

We need to resign Tarasenko. Great seeing Kane in Blue but he is def hurting and not close to 100%
Great win! I have to admit I was prepared for another steaming rolling by the Devils up until the end of the first when Mika’s shot/pass deflected off Kreider into the back of the net. Sometimes it just takes one fortuitous bounce to get a slumping offense back on the beam. I’ll predict the re-jiggered first line keeps rolling, we get more tight D and more Igor being Igor for the clincher tomorrow. LGR!!
I hate to say this… but a big offseason move will be if Drury can move panarins contract. His play has not worked in the postseason and tarasenko fits like a glove. Would probably relieve the rangers of all cap issues with the move as well

Excellent to see them respond. Guys stepped up. Although I'd still like to see a bit more physicality, they did what they needed to do. They won some more puck battles, started getting the puck off the boards and transitioning better to offense. They took shots, got to rebounds and caused some havoc in front. Excellent game from Igor!

I don't do predictions, but I'll say this: in a nutshell, hard work wins games. If the Rangers play their game, force the play and work hard to win battles, they can walk away with a victory.
