**Candidats à ajouter ensuite** : Tuomisto, Viro, Niederbach, ~~Hanas~~, Buium, Savage, Dower-Nilsson(s), James, Buchelnikov, Augustine, Gibson, Doucet —

Edvinsson takes it after 700+ votes in our first poll of the year! https://i.imgur.com/eL5VF2l.png

I’m going to follow some other sub’s lead on sharing the results for recent polls (like in TV subs), so I’ve blacked out the runner up to hopefully prevent bias of just voting the next one in. Let me know your thoughts or comments on this or if I should just share the full results. Thanks gang

Man those 2018 rankings were dark days

Tough one between Soderblom and Kasper. Personally I think Soderblom is the safer bet, we haven’t seen how well Kaspers play translates to the NHL – we know Soderblom is at least a 3rd liner, maybe more. Kasper could be another Veleno, he certainly seems more skilled than that but it’s TBD so I give the edge to Soderblom

  4. Caltroit_Red_Flames

Going with Kasper. I think Sandin Pellikka and Danielson both have more upside to their games but in this case I’d say Kasper being closer to the NHL makes him the choice.

I think this one comes down to Danielson and Kasper. But I know I’m higher on Danielson than most people on the sub.

Kasper had a much better season than I anticipated in the SHL last year and he isn’t that much older than Danielson. So I can see the argument for why someone would prefer Kasper.

But for me, I just like Danielson’s skillset more than Kasper at this moment. I think he has a better shot and playmaking, while the only aspect I think Kasper is clearly better is with his physicality.

Kasper for me since he’s played in the NHL already after being a high draft pick. After him we still have Danielson and Cossa. After those four it gets fun in my eyes.

  7. Caboose119z

I think Danielson has a better toolkit than Kasper but Kasper is such a dog on the puck and in the dirty areas. This is tough.

  8. Mavori

    For me it’s Kasper.

Just had a great SHL season and the one game he played for us, he looked rather comfortable.

I know there is a lot of talk about our 2023 draft picks and the younger crop but for me the more intriguing guys coming up is actually Wallinder, Albert and Sodarum, basically the guys that feel close to making the jump.

Sheesh – Kasper and Wallinder have some SHL experience under their belt and both excelled. Danielson seems very under appreciated. It’s between those 3 for me, which is crazy because Sandin Pellikka could be the best of all of them (who also has a little bit of SHL experience)

If only all elections were like this – where the candidates are all TOO GOOD that the decision is difficult rather than choosing the least worst.

    After this it gets interesting

    I’m higher on Cossa

Danielson is probably close based on play style to Kasper however I think he has a better shot than Kasper coming out of the draft

ASP I think can be a stud PP QB and be that 2nd pair RHD but does that put him over Wallinder who I think is also a future top 4 anchor

Obviously Mazur and Lombardi are up there

Buchelnikov doesn’t get any love but I think he can be special

  11. It’s a toss up between Danielson and Kasper for me. I lean Danielson though because I think the ceilings higher
