  1. Mollie, please talk about the arrival of Peter Laviolette. As much as I would’ve preferred if it was Joel Quenneville and as much as I miss Gerard Gallant, I’m happy with Laviolette. Another part of the good news is that we ended up with neither Dan Bylsma nor John Hynes. By the way, I would keep Kane and Tarasenko around for at least 1 more year. You don’t know what you’re going to get with them together in a full season and so I would give them at least 1 more chance, just to see if they can gel together with us for a full season and if it doesn’t work out next year, then we’ll consider moving on from them. If we let them both go right now, then Panarin, Kreider and Zibanejad would all be ready to follow them out the door and Shesterkin would be blamed even more because then Laviolette would be replaced by either Bylsma or Hynes and then Shesterkin would be even less happy and would be ready to leave in a couple of years, as well and then we’ll get another letter that says that “we’re rebuilding.”
