Erik Karlsson had an amazing year but his cap hit at 11.5M for four more years is gonna be brutal.
Meh i hope he succeeds. He at least managed to use his leverage to get a big long payday. He’s overpaid but he is a minute munching scoring center, that you can still put against the other teams best lines and get decent results. He’s not a defensive center but he’s definitely great on the pp.
The pay is a bit much but i doubt maybe would complain about having him currently on a deal like 1.25 or 1.5 or so less. He definitely got some extra because the Islanders were basically forced to give it to him or lose him. If we had had space for him i imagine the deal would be cheaper

I liked Horvat, but we dodged a bullet.
I’m shocked Bob Ross-sky is on this list after his epic playoff performance. Without his 10m they wouldn’t have made any money during their run. I’d say that was a good investment, no?
Paraynko was the steal of this list
A bit of a hot take, but I think over the next ~2 seasons Bo Horvat and Brock Boeser will put up goals/points at a really comparable rate. ~25-30 goals, 60+ point territory.
Bo got the bag though, so good for him. He deserves respect for helping guide the team through turbulent times.
Well…Parayko has a Cup. I think that should immediately void him from the list.
Huberdeau, Horvat, and Campbell are desperation signings. So probably the worst of them all.

I still like Bo and hope he has a good career. But I’m glad we didn’t sign him to that contract and I’ll tell you that for free.
