Great interview. The memories of Wayne from my upbringing is incredible, I was a leafs fan and the rest of my family were Oilers fans, so he was a big deal at that time. But when he was traded to LA and high sticked Dougie and got away with it and scored the game winner under a minute later in game 6, that put a sour taste in my mouth for years, I did however still watch his final game as a Ranger and the slow skate around the ice with his family there and it was a special moment for all of us Canadians who grew up watching the “Great One”. Nothing but respect for Wayne today, and god bless his family and may Walter RIP.. an icon of the game and of Canada. Thank you for everything you have provided Canada Gretzky family. ✊

Class all the way. Was a big Gretzky guy growing up in the 80s but I absolutely hated him in 93 and took a few years to get over. But not his fault a call was missed and he destroyed the Leafs in gm 7. Wayne is the best!! Great interview guys!!

No one can tell me there is a better Player and Human then Wayne, Father Walter raised a man and a legend in him and how humble he truly is shows through everytime I watch a interview with him the boys did a excellent job with question too. My son was awarded a trip through the Make a Wish Foundation. We went to L.A. the first season that Wayne went there. I wil always remember…we were brought into the dressing room right after the game….eventually all of the players were changed and out…..Wayne was still in his pants and shin pads…..Talking with reporters. Then he took the time to pose for pictures with my Sons. About a month later, we got the pictures sent to us…..all autographed to each boy! Class A act.

I installed the internet at Waynes brothers place in brantford a few years back. He Lived in number 99 on his street not even a joke. He had a couple friends over drinking whiskey at around noon. Pretty sure this interview was sitting in the kitchen I was offered a drink in.
