Here’s hoping Connie waits for this announcement before extending Dube. I feel like Dube was not involved but who knows anymore.

If it comes out Dube was “in the room” then I expect this franchise to walk away from him completely.

Our one local kid, who grew up in Cochrane and actually stays in Calgary in the offseason, under 25, at a good $ and potential to become a legit top 6 option, beat Backlund in fitness testing last year, I sure hope he’s uninvolved, innocent and had nothing to do with it. Anything else would be a massive disappointment.

From a Flames fan perspective, the team is already in shambles, losing Dube is not like losing Gaudreau. I wouldn’t be remotely upset if he was gone if he’s guilty.
From a humanitarian perspective, I hope he wasn’t involved. I hope for the victim to receive her justice, but I know she won’t. If he is guilty of gang-rape, I hope his last skate involves someone skating over his testicles and that no woman should ever be subjected to such abuse.
It’s just hockey. A woman, sister, mother, or daughter… is a real person we all need to protect more.

Been watching Dubes for years, he played on the Rockets when I lived in Kelowna and he was one of my favourites on a really good Rockets team. Was a guy I really looked up to as a kid, even got the chance to skate with him and grab his autograph during a meet and greet event.
I am in no way being superfluous when I say I would be legitimately heartbroken if it turns out he was in that room.

If Dube was part of it fire him in to the sun and don’t look back
