  1. Yes. If anything, they could afford to part with 2 wingers, one with a bigger cap hit and someone like Hoglander. Call it a sweetener if you want, as long as they get youth with a low cap hit or or a pick or prospect in return. They need the cap space, especially if by some miracle they’re in the mix for the playoffs at the deadline and want to add someone, particularly on D. Not that I’m suggesting they will. That defense is still one of if not the worst in the division.

  2. Myers may go for free or close? Keep him till deadline! Garland may not go for anything also. If you want a return, even a 3rd? Trade Beauvillier. And let's face it, the Nucks need more speed & grit. Podkolzin & Hoglander are all that, minus being heavyweights (who cannot PK or close out the point in our end anyway. They just need / needed to be developed as defensive forwards. Which is their destiny Obi-Wan! >> So trade beauvillier, or retain and trade Boeser > sign another D!

  3. Yea just take the number you want. What could go wrong?

    Signed;
    Mark Messier

  4. The Canucks going over the cap so fast after avoiding going over the salary cap cliff isn't a good look. It means that they still have to move one of the same guys they've been trying to move out for a year to be cap compliant. It makes me wonder if they're going to play chicken with the owner's wallet again for another buyout.

    With Bourdon's jersey number unofficially retired and the team fumbling the process of putting it back into circulation, it just makes we want to see the Canucks go embarrassment free until puck drop of the 1st game of the season. Is that possible with this management group?

  5. Has anyone even confirmed if Filip Hronek is ready to play for the start of the season? He was an injured asset when he was acquired.

  6. Wrong boys… Hoglander WILL require waivers. He has completed 3 professional seasons and therefor will require waivers regardless of games played.

  7. Why are we making such a fuss about Bourdon’s number? There has to be a point where we move on and let other players wear the number

  8. While tragic what happened to Luc it was 15 years ago. I think it's time we let current players wear the number.

  9. The team and the fans welcomed Cole and let him have his number he has always worn. The media wanted to shame him and the team to justify their existence. What a bunch of toxic aholes

  10. I regret that Luc died, but I do not feel as though he or his family owns that number or that this is something we have to protect for all time.

  11. The "evolution" of the English language over the past 30 years is testimony to the fact that most people don't notice details. Actually, the whole of human culture would be dramatically different if the average person noticed more details.

  12. Move Garland we might be able to pick up Dumba and Comtois.Have to move someone.Nice if it was Meyers.
