  1. 34 points in 65 games while not even being the PP1 QB is pretty prettyyyy good for an AHL rookie defenseman.

  2. Devils brought it Colin Miller to be a stopgap 3RD so he'll probably be blocking Nemec in the short term which seemed to be by design to give Nemec more AHL time. Nemec will probably be in line for a call up when the inevitable injuries happen. LD: Siegenthaler-Hughes-Bahl-Smith, RD: Hamilton-Marino-Miller

  3. There is no way (imho) that the Devils start the season with Bahl, (59 NHL games), Hughes (5 NHL games), and Nemec, (0 NHL games). Nemec will get a call up later in the season. The only way Nemec sees the ice is if they carry 7 Defensemen and sprinkle Nemec in here and there, but that most likely hurts his development. The kid needs ice time. Let him be the top pair in Utica and get the experience….we all saw what riding the bench did for Holtz. Don't make the same mistake again.
