  1. Buschy, the great part of not only not have giving up a top prospect but Stevie got what he want a contract well under 8 years and a cap hit under of 8 million. AAV.. We still have just over 8 million in cap space and will sign Veleno for under 2 million AAV.. I guess the question now is , is Stevie done.?

  2. I wouldn’t call it a fleece job. It’s works out well for Ottawa especially as they were in a corner on this. But the Wings definitely get the advantage in it.

  3. I still think a third team could have been part of the Debrincat trade, and picked up some assets. I am not getting too excited about having Debrincat on the Red Wings. 25, 27 goals won't be a disappointment for me.

  4. Let's go wings fans we got a goal scorer we got a potential 2nd or really good 3rd line center in the draft and a potential top 4 dman who is offensive and all the other guys we picked then we got a 2nd line center or winger a 2nd or 3rd line winger a backup goalie a top 4 offensive dman a top 6 shut down dman ik the contract isnt great but he doesnt have the same pressure as he did playing in toronto a good bottom 6 winger who can kill penalties in free agency and other young players will get better and we still have 8 mil in cap space oh what a exciting time to be a wings fan stevie is a wizard at his job and we could make playoffs this year this is the happiest I've been as a wings fan in years

  5. SO Happy to get 'THE CAT' and not have to give up Berggren or Mazur is OUTSTANDING…LGRW

  6. Dude, thanks for the great news and awesome content. Next to the Hockey guy and the SDP you’ve now made it a a trifecta and my #1 DRW news resource! Keep up the great work man!!!

  7. Yzerman isn't impressed by these guys thinking they are superstars since he's an NHL legend. Ask Marty St. Louis.

  8. 🎉Stevie-Y is the man! And stayed true to what he wanted and was REWARDED!.. Debrincat will definitely help the Red Wings in multiple offensive categories!.. Stevie has now made over 44% of just the STARTING roster! ALL players improvements from the previous Red Wings on the team and more importantly the players added gives coach Lalonde more versatility!.. and that's good In today's NHL..

Stevie-Y is really trying to build a similar roster structure to teams like, the Golden Knights, Kraken, Hurricanes, and Devils.. a bunch of good talented guys with speed high hockey IQ, that can score while staying responsible defensively!.. and the Wings are deep!.. we should be able to confidently roll 4-LINES making it even harder to beat them..

And lastly, if the Wings get into the playoffs, they're already low-key "playoff built"😉

    # IN STEVIE WE TRUST/ LGRW!🔥🔥🔥💫

  9. 4 years, the conditional pick is really nothing and after clearing the 2 for Kubalik we now have 7 or 8 million left on the cap

  10. Do you reunite DeBrincat and Patrick Kane for a year? Could you imagine the thought of rooting for Kane after years of despising the guy lol

  11. Everyone knew that he was being traded to the Wings. The Orr group leaks were leverage for their player. I knew a week ago.
    Great video though!

  12. Thanks for the video!
Also, I’m so sick of Valenti. At least in the videos I watch, I doesn’t give Yzerman enough credit and he had little faith. Just tired of his positions always being negative.

  13. We traded Bertuzzi for a 1st and a 4th. This trade is basically the rental of Bert, a middling prospect and the last year of Kubalik for 4 years of DeBrincat on a sweetheart hometown discount.

I hear that this winter is going to be very cold. That fleece will come in very handy in Ottawa.

  14. I think what matters is the one report a few weeks ago that said Sens and Wings already had a trade agreed on. Then rumors came out that Alex was stalling, which his agent called bs on that. It got to a point where every other team dropped out except Detroit bc teams believed the report that Sens and Wings had a deal. Then Islanders jumped in and jumped out just as quickly bc DeBrincat said he wants Detroit. Then we got the report this week that the hold up is contract length.

As for fans giving Stevie a hard time, its a very good things Detroit sport fans aren't in charge of teams. All the teams would be bankrupt and perma last place teams.

  15. DeBrincat scored 40 goals while he was playing with Kane I don't think he will ever hit 40 goals again and on top is a liability defensively. I think Ottawa did pretty darn well here. Dorion had built a pretty solid team over. Tkachuk, Stutzle, Norris, Batherson, Pinto, Sanderson, Kleven, Chychrun, Chabot that team is stacked !!!

  16. DeBrincat has a contract for 2023-24 for about 7 mil. The Red Wings have EXTENDED his contract for four more years at 7.8 mil per. Does this mean we have DeBrincat for FIVE years not the four quoted in the press.????? Help me out. I'm confused.

  17. Pull your shorts out of the crack and lets look at this trade. Did Detroit gain offensively ?? Maybe not. Kubalik scored 20 goals and was a minus15; That was an offensive GAIN of 5 goals. DeBrincat scored 27 goals and was a minus 31; that is an offensive LOSE of 4 goals. Granted, DeBrincat has a higher up side for perhaps 35 or 40 goals – yet to be seen. However, this trade still hasn't addressed Detroit's lack of defense. Raymond was minus 17, Larkin was minus 7, and DeBrincat was minus 31.. This line will score a lot of goals, but how many will they let in. Don't get me wrong, I like Debrincat,
but, it's going to take a lot more than DeBrincat's high up side to make up for the 279 goals Detroit gave up while only scoring 240.

  18. Does sneaky Steve Yserman have another ace up his sleeve. By dumping the Zadina contract and signing DeBrincat at less than 8 mil, Detroit still has about 8 mill under the cap. Is this enough to work another trade for Erik Karlsson if the Sharks will eat 3 mil of his contract. You know what I've already said about Detroit signing HOF defensemen late in their careers. Karlsson's mentor of young Swedes, his toughness on defense, and his offense might make the difference in reducing Detroit's goals for/against deficit. We can get rid of Chariot and Holl and bring up Edvinsson. Please Stevey…MAKE THIS TRADE ATTEMPT>
