[Hockey news hub] « Une décision sur le contrat de Fedotov peut être attendue la semaine prochaine après que chaque partie aura envoyé tous les documents à l’IIHF », a déclaré Tardif.
"A decision on Fedotov's contract may be expected next week after each side sends all documents to the IIHF," Tardif said.

Explanation: The decision by the IIHF which is pretty much the (national hockey federation) will decide who gets Fedotov’s rights.
There are soooo many sides to this. First, the question obviously is « does he still want to come here? » Political climate aside, he may choose to just say in Russia because its just easier (and not because of a gun to his head or whatever other theories). Next, if we win the rights and he *doesn’t* want to come here, what version are we going to see of him?
Beyond all that, what does this mean down the pipeline? Is this going to muddle Michkov’s situation in 3 years? And is there a possible situation where Briere just says « Fuck it, stay in Russia » and mutually terminate the contract?
This whole thing is a mess. lol
Sandstrom isn’t in the Flyers plans.
Petersen is a cap dump first, and Phantoms goalie second.
Kolosov doesn’t come over until next year, and the other two are a few years away.
If Fedotov comes over, it’s absolutely fine. There is no log-jam.
