[CapFriendly] L’âge de signature EL de Dvorsky est de 18 ans, ce qui signifie que son contrat est éligible à glisser deux fois. Jouer dans la SHL serait considéré comme une ligue qui permettrait au contrat de glisser.

ELI5 please because I’m a simpleton that doesn’t understand entry level contracts.

That’s depressing. Who makes the decision on it sliding? It would suck to not see him before 2025.

It wouldn’t be the end of the world if he uses both slide years. It’s a long way from the Allsvenskan to the NHL. Elias Pettersson might be the best recent forward from Sweden, and he played his full age-18 season (his draft year) in the Allsvenskan, then his age-19 season in the SHL. Then he made the jump. Dvorsky is on a somewhat faster track because he will be in the SHL for his age-18 season, but still, we need to manage expectations a bit. If he’s a top-six forward for Oskarshamn and produces roughly at that level (say 0.5 ppg), plus goes to the World Juniors and plays well there, it’s a good season. If he is better than that, and maybe scores a World Championships invite, then maybe it’s worth talking about him coming over. But they have a lot of runway with Dvorsky, and it’s not bad if they use all of it.
