I didn’t realize how far away Colorado and Dallas are from absolutely every other team

Partial to Boston but Montreal is a fantastic atmosphere (Gross). Honestly one of the best places I’ve been is PNC Arena in Raleigh. Hurricane fans bring it hard and it’s amazing, be sure to tailgate too.

I have met nhl refs who say the rangers and the vegas rinks are their favorite to work, atmosphere wise. For what that counts for.

St Paul, MN is top-5. I’ll even bring you around if you show up.

Your best bet is to stay on Earth. You’ll get an awful sunburn pretty much anywhere else.
oni_Tensa
I’m partial to the PNC arena in North Carolina but I’d recommend the towns in the north because you could bounce between them like boston, MSG, NJ.
Top_Stranger_8961
I remember back in the 90s and early 2000s there being an actual buzz in the air at Joe Louis during the playoffs. As nice as LC is it has no soul and the seats are filled by corporate suits
Visotto1
Dallas, Vegas and Nashville all have great atmospheres and tons to do in the city afterwards.
mynamehere999
Anywhere in Canada when the team is winning
alaughinmoose
Vegas is definitely up there. Between the outside preshow and parade, to the ice show with the projections on the ice. Well worth a visit

Fan base wise, Nashville, Chicago, Boston or NY.
If you want to see a good team, Boston NY Tampa (Dallas?)
MabusIncarnate
I gotta say, I grew up going to a lot of games in Philadelphia, NY, Detroit, and for a while Atlanta when they existed. Nashville was shockingly loud, energetic, and very fun overall as an opposing fan in a Wings jersey in their building. The place was electric, had near playoff atmosphere and it was the middle of the season, stadium was nearly full also. One of the better NHL experiences, and I anticipated not enjoying it.
Dis-Ducks-Fan-1130
I’ve only been to 10 arenas across the country for a game and out of those 10 I would say Montreal.
BounceMan69
I’m not gonna lie I’d say hit up Nashville

Oh newark New Jersey baby, the HEIGHT of American culture
Nah but seriously you can get some fire Peruvian food in the city and devils fans are always fun to be around especially when our team scores and we get to chant “you suck” over and over

As a leafs fan: not here.

San Jose’s atmosphere is a bit flat right now, but it makes getting tickets as an away fan pretty easy.
But a few years ago when the Sharks were a playoff team year in year out the Tank was fun as hell.
Maky617
As much as Montreal is a solid answer, watching predators playoff games looked surreal, I’d love to go there when they’re good. I don’t know if they’re die hard to have it all the time though. Vegas obviously is Vegas.
spagboltoast
I mean devner is the highest place in the us so youll probably get the most atmosphere there
Responsible-Fox-9082
I would say Montreal, Vegas or Minnesota. Montreal fans are literally church kids at that place from what I’ve heard.
Vegas is more of a cop out. You can see their opening ceremony on TV and it’s also a moderately new arena.
Minnesota is solely because the Sabres arena is kinda beat at this point. Basically the fans are chill and are there for fun. Most would probably offer to show you to a decent place to eat after the game or at least a good bar

North east road trip baby!

Alive-Primary-9863
I’ve been to 26 of the 32 NHL arenas. When the Maple Leafs played at Maple Leafs Gardens, that was by far the best experience. Joe Louis arena in Detroit was also quite memorable. When the Canadiens played in the Molson centre (before it became the Bell centre) people could still smoke cigarettes and cigars in the arena! Remember, all hockey arenas have something to offer. You just have to find each arenas unique character…

Honestly, CBJ home games are very fun. The atmosphere is exhilarating too

I’m not going to argue it’s the best as history plays into that but Seattle is a very fun experience if you haven’t come yet. Brand new arena with state of the art technology (including Amazon go just walk out concessions making grabbing food or beer quick and easy in commercial breaks and intermission) and fans that are learning the game with passion. The second half of the season last year and playoffs in Seattle were electric. The same fans that make the Seahawks stadium one of the loudest in football sell out CPA pretty much every game

Bell centre opening night against the Leafs was one of the coolest moments of my life. Bonus watching leafs lose to the Habs 😂

Madison Square Garden. Nothing else compares.
However, Amalie Arena in Tampa is very underrated. The Lightning and their fans have created a really unique fan experience. The arena is walking distance from the Bay, a lot of great bars and restaurants nearby, and the crowd and arena are electric (no pun intended). Could be a fun winter trip! Hockey + escape from the cold!
