Finally, that’ll open us up to make any last moves if we want. Not sure how much money and all that, but league min guys will be good.
I hope Jeannot pops off even if it means a pay raise in two years. The cap will be up then anyways. I think he’ll be better than he was, injuries and getting used to the team hurt him for sure.
What the fuck is going on, this deal keeps getting worse
I was hoping for at least 3 given the price we paid, but it’s whatever. If I understand the RFA rules correctly it also means Jeannot will still be an RFA at the end of this deal too, which is great news.
Edit: Nope, just kidding. Jeannot is already 26 so after his deal is up I think he is an UFA. Awful news if that’s true.

Really surprised it won’t be a long term deal based on what we gave up to acquire him. Hopefully it’s a low cap hit and more of a prove it deal.

fingers crossed it’s a 2×2. prove yourself kind of contract. glad we didn’t do long long term but wish we did like 3-4 years instead. i know he’s gonna prove his worth next year in more than just being a fighter and physical forward
I really like Jeannot so I’m hoping he’ll pull a Hagel this season and really start to mesh. I think between joining the team midway through the year and dealing with injuries, he was far from at his peak last season.
