  1. It’s hilarious seeing posts from fans saying Bergeron is definitely coming back. Bruins management screwed themselves it isn’t Bergerons fault

  2. I keep hearing you say the Bruins will make a trade. But with what assets unless it’s a goalie

  3. i hope he comes back more than anything and reuinites with lucic but i dont blame him what so ever for retiring

  4. Bedard 70 point rookie season then he will grow from there. The Blackhawks are just a bunch of garbage bags.

  5. Johnny Hockey is the whiniest hockey Youtuber… and also crams the description with algorithm enhancing jibberish that is just serving his own self interest rather than trying to make it as helpful as possible for the viewer…

  6. Rumor is he cranked up his workouts this week to see where he's at. Also you're right. He probably did tell Don which was he's leaning. In fact I bet he's been in contact with Don the whole time. This is the Captains Captain. The one all other Captains strive to be.

  7. Hes 100% painted an accurate picture for management, they just arent spilling anything.

There were reports hes been seen doing off ice work outs so he may still play. It makes sense that he'll wait for the RFAs to sign.

  8. As someone who's opinion of the Bruins has usually always been "fuck the Bruins" lmao, Patrice is a good bean. Always has been. Dude deserves respect.

  9. I keep hearing "Lindholm to Boston" if Bergeron doesn't return. That would be a big move

  10. Nobody would be mad if he decides to retire but bruins are in a weitd spot. Their deadline guys left but they got great bottom6 guys and this exact team is the same that was the most dominant regular season team ever besides bergeron/krejci if they really retire. If he comes back bruins are instantly the big contender again, it‘s literally the same roster. Krejci was out a lot and had to take breaks but the only spot hard to replace is a real 1C like bergy. Sure orlov/bertuzzi hurt but they came in when the team was by far the best already last year

  11. Im a Bruins fan and I have yet to hear a bruins fan say that Bergeron owes the Bruins a decision

  12. I love Bergy! But, he needs to retire. He "IS" putting the team in limbo. By him not saying anything, it potentially puts the team behind in getting a center that is better than what they currently have. That's a fact! He's had a great career, and will be in the Hall, sooner than later. But, I must say that with him, besides 2011, they are chokers!. Time to move on…

  13. Bergeron is absolute class, sucks to see him being hounded

  14. as a bruins fan, i don't think he need to tell us anything it is up him if he retire or comes back and the bruins and bruins fans will know if hes coming back before camp starts

  15. Fellow Bruins fans,
Management pushed all their chips to the center last year and we failed to a level of epic proportions. That being said if we lose Bergy and Krecji it is most likely going to be a very rough 2-3 years as we have no young talent (top end at least) and haven’t had a first rounder in awhile. I credit Don for making moves to send it a couple last times for the aging core group but this is the result of it if you miss. We missed.

  16. Imagine a job where you get to retire 25 to 30 years earlier than the retirement age.

  17. Bergeron will play till 50 especially this year with the 100th anniversary… I'll bet my house

  18. Love Bergeron. He's given his all to the Bruins and their fans for 20 years. They can, at the very least, give him the time he needs to make the best decision for him, his family, and the team.

  19. He DOES owe it to the organization to tell them his plans. No player is bigger than the team.
And as mentioned at 2:10 …if he hasn't made that decision yet, the Bruins are handcuffed with moving forward. That goes for Krejci as well.

We can "speculate" that he has told the Bruins his plans but I guess we can speculate the opposite.

  20. Spot on!! Retirement is heart breaking for an all in guy like Bergie, let the whiners whine and give Bergie all the time he needs

  21. The door swings both ways. He may not owe them an answer right away but they're running an NHL team here. If they have the chance to fill the number 1 center role they can't just wait around and keep that spot open for a guy who might retire.

  22. The organization ABSOLUTELY has insight on what Bergy is doing. Same scenario as last season when noone knew…then it came out both he and Krejci had told management their plans in early July if not sooner.

  23. I know last year. Took Bergy until early August to re-sign with the B’s. The man is a Bruins Legend, up there with Orr. If he waits until October. We will be grateful to have him back. If he retires. May his life be blessed and his replacement step up to bat.

He owes the Bruins and the Fans one thing. To be at peace with himself. He shouldn’t come back out of guilt, I say he retires because we do need to move on from Krejci and Bergeron. Not because they are ‘garbage’ players, they have kept us in games we didn’t deserve to win. We need to move on, because they need to be healthy in retirement and not be like Pronger, or Savard. That concussion issue is a nasty bloke.

Though it hurts me, to acknowledge Bergeron and Krejci likely won’t be around next season. We still have the likes of Marchand, Pastrnâk, McAvoy and Carlo. So. There is still a reason to believe

  24. As much as I’ve rooted against the Bruins for years, it would be amazing if they run it back one more time WITH Lucic and win a cup, unlikely but not impossible eh.

  25. Bergy also just had a child so he can take all the time he needs. I heard that Krejci is going to retire.

  26. I think Patrice Bergeron being from Quebec, probably grew up a Montreal Canadians fan, and has been playing the long game to screw over the Bruins. I think he knew from the moment he was drafted in 2003, that he was going to play in Boston, win a cup, and then, after 20 years, he was going to screw them over. Definitely long game. I want to see him at a press conference wearing a Bruins jersey, tear it off and be wearing a Montreal Canadians underneath, then announce he's going to play another 20 years…for the Habs! Well played Patrice.

  27. Bergeron is a legend. He used to play for Bathurst Titan in the QMJHL along with Noah Dobson and Jeffrey Viel. I do hope he takes his time. His mind might say I don't want to retire, but maybe he'll be forced to because of his body.

  28. I have no idea where you heard any Bruins fan say that Bergeron needs to let everyone know what he's doing right now. Every real Bruins fan I've heard has no problems with him taking as long as he needs to make a decision. You definitely didn't hear it from the Bruins owner, president or GM. They all have said he can take as much time as he needs. Same as last year the Bruins are working the off-season to do the best for the team next year with or without Bergeron.
Some fans will definitely criticize management and the owner but no real Bruins fan would hate on Bergeron. Not after all he's done for the Bruins, the fans and all of New England on and off the ice.
