Terrible deal if I’m being honest, loved him while he was here with some of his clutch goals but he’s just not worth that much. Underrated hitter and forechecker wish him the best of luck in Colorado.

even if the lightning had the space i would’ve balked at that but gotta be happy for the guy and what he did here. he would’ve never gotten the offensive opportunity here that colorado can probably give him.

I love how so many teams seem to take our players and pay them out the ass on contracts that don’t make sense. Great indicator on how JBB is performing as a GM, but also happy our players can get paid after their stints here!

Ross the Boss got paid! I think last year was tough for him because he couldn’t find chemistry with the bottom six forwards. Going to the Avalanche at 4 million per is awesome for him. I wish him the best
I’m sure Ross was willing to take something smaller to stay with us… but even at 3m AAV it’s still out of our price range for what he’s proven thus far. Wish him all the best, the kid never showed a lack of effort he just wasn’t consistent enough to make us believe in paying that much for his potential. Also despite losing to the Avs in the cup, I think they’re a respectable franchise and FO and should be good for Ross long term.
happy for rosco. got a really good paycheck from a contender. will miss him in tampa but certainly glad we didn’t cough that up for him. i’m interested in seeing how he gets along if he gets moved up to 2C for RyJo this season
