for anyone that didn’t read the article – the implication is that the foot-dragging on the parts of both the team and players/agents is because it’s mid-july
definitely didn’t sound like we’re done making moves…it sounds more like people are just on vacation and not in a hurry to make deals earlier than necessary
So lots of nothing in here, mostly Luke writing what he’s inferring and just summarizing the current state as it has been for a few weeks.
Notables are that they haven’t spoken to Tony’s agent but they are leaving the door open to adding another depth defense piece as long term depth is key with the expiring contracts.
This is what I found most interesting

What those other things are is interesting. Him mentioning money and cap seems to hint at big game fishing for people like EK and Maybe Nylander? Does not seem like they are shy about wanting to continue spending.
Can see them waiting on the Lindholm shoe to drop and make moves according to his willingness to re-sign with Calgary
