  1. Firstly, no worries about the reduced shows. Obviously with the offseason there's only gonna be so much going on unless it's big time trades/FA announcements, so 3 shows a week is not a big deal. Having began following this channel midseason, I've really enjoyed the content and all the interviews, you've been a great host thus far.

Secondly, I think while Byfield could have a course trajectory akin to Tage Thompson, I think realistically, he won't reach those same heights. While I feel he will grow into being a fine player for the LA Kings, we probably won't ever see an astronomical leap from him in terms of his play on the ice. He firstly needs to prioritize staying healthy, whether injury, or illness/otherwise. And for someone as tall as he is, he should be bulking up a bit to create a more imposing figure for himself. We probably won't be talking about Byfield being a first line C, since we're expecting Dubois to take control of that once Kopitar retires, but if he can solidify being a 2nd line/overall top 6 forward in the coming years, the draft pick will have been a solid investment.

  2. Guy has improved every single year. We are gonna get rid of him and then he’s gonna end up being a top 10 center in the league and we are gonna be pissing and moaning about how we should have kept him. Let’s be PATIENT. Especially since we just got PLD

  3. Let the guy play and if he is a bust than it is what it is. Obviously, kings scouts took a gamble and lets see if it pays off. Would I rather have stutzle, of course but we cant go back in time unfortunately. Lets not forget that Sam Bowie was drafted by Portland ahead of some guy named Jordan.

  4. Why are people panicking' and coming down so hard on him, did you all do the same with former king Gabe Vilardi ?

  5. If stutzle was more now ready player why didn't the kings pick him instead of picking Byfield who going to take 6 years or more to b half decent when the kings were looking to win now it don't make no sense its looking like the kings picked a dud and r just hoping that Byfield will b better in the future I don't get it Eddie

  6. He’s very very young still. He was within a week of being draft eligible in the following draft the year he went number 2 to us. So I think we still have at least 2 seasons before we really scrutinize him. I think he should remain in the wing this year for sure. Let him find success as a top 9 forward, I think he can build on that to take a key pivot slot down the road but he may become a great LW and I’d be happy.

  7. No body thought Stuzle or Thompson were going to break out when they did so I think one day soon Q Byfield and I think will turn into a solid high scoring NHLer … Go Kings Go

  8. Byfield is just 20 years old and has battled bad luck with illness and injury. He didn't come in with McDavid or Bedard expectations. Giving up on him at this stage is silly. Unfortunately, Stutzle is making it look like the wrong decision to draft him, especially if he's playing LW. QB should be plenty motivated to prove he can meet the expectations this season with an expiring ELC and playing 1st line minutes. You do see the flashes (that blind pass on the Kopitar goal comes to mind) but results have to start taking place. It doesn't look good when your linemate scores 41 and you only net 3. It's time for him to start proving the doubters wrong and I believe he will.

  9. Byfield is going to be an absolute stud. You can see it in his game and the way he thinks on the ice. Give it a couple more seasons for his body to catch up.

  10. He is a kid. He plays a different game than stutzle. He is also really young. Power forwards take time, they need bigger frames that aren’t fully developed at that young age.
