   Go Jays Go..Why can't 34 sign first? and set the tone that he likes it here and is willing to take a bit less to win. I'm sick of these guys wanting it all and choking in the playoffs, if they won't be reasonable move on from them.. Samsonov can only play 40-45 games (if you push him to play more he gets pissy about it) he's not a true #1 that can give you 60-65 games. Woll and whomever will be playing the other 40 games so a 3rd goalie is necessary. I'm sick of the Leafs.. Go Jays Go

   In what world does Matthews deserve 1.4 million over MacKinnon for a contract that's 3 years shorter? The only way I can stomach 14 million is if it's 14×8, and even then, Matthews is out to lunch if he thinks his play in the playoffs has ever been worth that much money. And Marner at 15? Jesus Christ. We are never winning anything with this group.

    Not sure how Sammy doubles his money. He played 42 games for 2 mil. 44 games was his most in Washington the prior year.

    3-3.5 max for 2 years for Sammy.

    Hill isn’t a great comparison as he’s won a cup. See Kuemper at 5.2. I’m not sure I want either of those goalies but they won cups and are getting paid for it. If Sammy wins then he goes north of 4-5 mil.

    Yes, the Cap is going to go up a year from now, but not enough to fulfill Nylander’s me me contract wants.

    Country fucking sucks! Like totally painful! Sorry guys but god that crap is just excruciating!

    In Brad we trust! I believe he has a deal for Murray in place, just waiting to see what the Samsonov award is so he knows exactly what $$ of cap space he has to clear. Muzzin LTIR + Murray buy-out/trade + Robertson/other ELC buried in the minors to get cap compliant. That’s all Brad needs to do.

    Then figure out the D and finalize this roster.

    I be hearing a leafs trade rumor that leafs trade T.J brode and Ty Volt and a pick or two for Mario Ferraro and a pick from the sharks. If it is true or not i do not know. The leafs would have 2.75M off the books if deal go through. Ty Volt's cap would be use to sign Easton Conwan to entry level contract.
    2.75M may help sign llya Samsonov. Mario Ferraro is on same D-line as Erik Karlsson. I think leafs true target on Sharks wasn't Erik Karlsson but Mario Ferraro.

    $4 Million per is too much for Samsonov. I think he played above his talent last season.
    Also, the Leafs should NOT buy out Matt Murray – $2 Million next season off the cap is crazy. Just LTIR him first time he gets hurt in the pre-season.

    Sammy will get 1 year deal. Matthews will possibly only sign for 3 to 4 years. Willy could be traded as his demands for 10 million won't fly in T.O.
