Ottawa and Buffalo will be the wild cards. Florida has some injuries that could affect them, especially Montour and Ekblad. And I PROMISE you, the Islanders will miss the playoffs. No doubt in my mind.
I'm looking at Tampa falling out of the top 3, they lost Killorn and Colton. I don't think it's unrealistic at all to think the Sens could finish 3rd in the Atlantic.
Just don't be terrible in November and they should be fine

I think Ottawa and Buffalo swoop in and knock those two out.
For me it's simple everything depends on Korpi and Forsberg health if they stay healthy we make the playoffs.

I predict both wild cards in the East will be from the Atlantic Division. Who that is, I can’t say. But Ottawa, Detroit, and Buffalo are all poised to take that next step. And you gotta like The Sens’ chances out of that group. I really think one of those three will get the last wild card spot.
I don’t think they will go much further with DJ as a coach.

Toronto, Buffalo should make the playoffs, but then it's open for TB, BOS, OTT. Boston and Tampa step back with all their substractions, Florida coming off a finals will have too short an off-season and combined with their weak defensive core, they won't make it. Ottawa could sneak in. Detroit will be close to a wild card but they're a year away. My Habs will finish last in the division, but they won't sink so deep this year.
If Ottawa Senators does better in November, than you can say "playoffs " and beat playoff teams and bottom teams than they they can be the team to beat and you can call them dangerous team
